“Whathappened?” Q asked as he held his head. His mind swam as he triedto think what was going on. Wherewas he? He groaned as he closed his eyes.
“Youfainted straight into my arms,” James teased him.
Qstared with wide eyes. “I did not!”
Jameslooked down at Q, who was still in the older man’s arms. “Imean, if you wanted my attention, you didn’t have to go to suchextremes.”
“Whatthe hell are you talking about?” Q demanded ashe finally figured out that he was in fact, in James Bond’s arms. Qpushed back as he glared. “What did you do?”
Jameslet out a laugh. “I did nothing! You overworked yourself as youalways do.”
Qgrunted as he continued to struggle out of James’s arms. “It’salways something! You did something! Like spike my drink orsomething!”
“Well,you drank nothing so I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Whyare you even here, 007!?” Q finally exclaimed.
“Becauseit’s our anniversary!”
Qstopped and looked at James. His eyes immediately glossed over to hisdesk to see a small bouquet of roses and chocolate. Q let out a lowmoan of disapproval.
Jameslet out a laugh and kissed him. “Yeah, I know,” James told himand help him up from the floor. “I came in with the flowers and youfainted. It would’ve been funny but you overworked yourself, again.”
“I’msorry,” Q mumbled as he leaned against the desk.
Jamesmoved to crowd Q at the desk and kissed him again. “It’s all right.Let me take you to dinner…maybe medical if you’re eager.”
Qsnorted and let his hands rest on James’s waist. “Thanks, but Ihate medical…though, dinner sounds nice.”
“We’llgo to that place…you know, the one with the fish.”
Qsmiled and nodded. “I hate you.”
