Summer Reading

I’ve actually been drawing a lot this summer since outside of work I have basically nothing else to do, so enjoy all of that being dumped here soon. It’s nice to actually be drawing again, since most of the past year I’ve completely neglected it

A line-up of my OCs from my modern fantasy story in Trelis. 

Flo Kim - Flo is a young mage who owns a magic shop, ‘Flo’s Magical Emporium’ in the city of Trelis. Charms, spells, enchanted chocolate. You name it, she stocks it.

Natalie Baker - Natalie is a Nonner (a non-magic user) interested in fashion and keeping herself updated on current events. When one day she accidentally stumbles upon Flo’s Magical Emporium, she is introduced to the magical community hidden in plain sight in her city. And her life changes forever. 

Mikhail ‘Mike’ Bereave - Mike is a retired forensic necromancer - one who uses necromancy to gain intel on details of a person’s death. He now spends his days writing a textbook on the subject and having long conversations with his pet parrot, Charon. 

Iris Thorne - Iris is a nymph working as an environmental lawyer in Trelis. She has been a family friend of the Kim family for three generations now, often stopping into the shop when time allows. 

Benjamin ‘Benji’ Horowitz - Benjamin was introduced to the magical community in Trelis when he was twelve after making the mistake of inviting a vampire into his house. He befriended Flo in high school, and now works as a guard doing night shifts at a museum in the city. 

Liam Alexander - Liam is a mage who met Flo in university. He worked towards a degree in Chemistry while Flo was working on Business and Economics, and now is studying to become a pharmacist. On the side, he’s a proficient potions master. 

Ava Peters - Ava was a mage who met Flo in middle school. Shortly after turning seventeen, however, she was attacked by a werewolf and now suffers from lycanthropy. Despite her disease, Ava is adept at sewing and works as a successful tailor/seamstress.

Flo is a young mage who owns a magic shop in the city of Trelis. Charms, spells, enchanted chocolate. You name it, she stocks it. When one day, a young human woman enters her store and triggers Flo’s alarm system, she’s forced to make a decision: either turn the unintentional trespasser into a newt or illegally employ her. And Flo never was a fan of newts.
