i don't think tp!seven can be ace. the devs are lying to us (aroallo flag)

if you're not aware, a few days ago tp seven was announced to be aroace. which okay, that's awesome, but the first thing they brought up as to why is because he got "too much affection" from the fandom which. hey. i don't like what that's implying. i think that making a character to be aroace because you think they don't deserve love is really weird.
it got worse as they tried to explain it, to the point where one of the lead devs was ableist while explaining why tp seven is aroace:
i am aware that these reasons were "said as a joke" but that really just feels like a very poor excuse. they ended up giving "actual reasons" as to why tp seven is aroace, which. i wonder why they didn't just say he is more focused on his project at the start instead of being weird towards aro/ace people on the first place. as well as the implication that making a character aroace immediately makes them be no longer sexy/attractive to others, which is stupid.
and i need to bring up the way they treat romantic and sexual attraction as inherently connected because boyyyy i don't like that. and also just, allo people can be NOT actively look for a partner, that's normal (focusing on the way 1x was labelled as aroace when that could just. be him being alloallo and not interesed on a partner, or aroallo). i am aware that there are aro devs on the game (iirc) but i sure wonder why they didn't bring up this on the first place! given that they would've been much more respectful than this!
and also with the way spirit was made aroace without her writer's permission/knowledge. yeah that's not very good!
even if the devs tried to fix it/explain better seven's sexuality i genuinely don't think it can work given the way rreactus has behaved towards it, especially given the fact that they're really weird/unpleasant towards selfshippers and shippers that are interesed on the game.
i'm aware they apologized but i still don't like this behaviour and much less do i like how they try to make the fandom so limited/so scared about doing. Anything. the tone tags don't really help if i'm being honest, plus this dev is extremely unprofessional in all ways.
so yeah i don't think aroace seven can exactly work after the way they treated him! it feels weird!!! it feels like they're making aroace characters as a way to stop people from simping for them, and not because of representation!!!! and i think he would be aroallo if anything!!!!! but those are just my thoughts.
