Hehe Lost God AU of where it's Medkit trying to find Sword rather than Sword finding Medkit.

Also ignore Medkit having no crystal

Rant/changes below

• Sword is aware he is a deity/blood related to them

• Sword wasn't as sheltered as much, but the Scorch was now only told to him recently by Venomshank, which is why he left.

• Sword feels like he needs to make up for what Firebrand did, thus why he decided to leave to Lost Temple.

• Darkheart does not join Sword for his adventure.

• Zuka does know Sword is the adoptive son of Venomshank, though I'm pretty sure this is canon anyways

• Sword hasn't told Medkit that he's related to the deities nor that his adopted father is Venomshank

Medkit has been caught up with work for the Church because the Wranglers have recently become more of a nuisance. but found it odd that Sword hadn't visited in literal weeks at that point. So Medkit visits Rocket in Da Shop, and upon hearing that Sword has been MISSING since that timeframe, he of course, freaks out.

Blah blah blah something something something Zuka overhears both of their worries, feels kinda bad (and fairly worried) so he decides to demand an "old friend" (Darkheart) give him directions of where Sword might've run off to.

Darkheart relays that Sword wanted to go to Lost Temple, and he's adamant that the kid left on his own and that Darkheart merely gave him a ride.

And thus Zuka tells him this..

And Medkit is absolutely horrified. Of course he asks where he even got the information from, but Zuka is... vague to say the least. If Sword's in Lost Temple— he's in danger. And thus this starts Medkit's journey back to Lost Temple — but not to go to the church. Since he's extremely needed and watched constantly, he has to "leave" quietly as to not have any interruptions as he looks. And Sword means a lot more than the cult that's been protecting him.

When he finally gets back to Lost Temple, beyond the Church's territory, he's nearly immediately identified as the Cultist's pet by Redcliff and captured. And to his surprise— SWORD. Is there. ??????? Of course he's confused, but now finally connecting the dots between the timeframe Sword first supposedly went missing and his workload— Sword, SFOTH knows how, must've been the thorn in the True Eye's side.

Blah blah blah

Sword feels sort of betrayed because Medkit has never told him about— who he's working for and Medkit is still largely left in the dark of why Sword is even here in the first place. And it's especially confusing because Sword usually doesn't hide things from him.

So they have a heart to heart of where they properly talk in what was weeks. And what the hell happened to Sword, because he doesn't have his usual helmet and his entire... Vibe, personality, is a lot more hardened and closed off to what he's used to.

And Sword starts talking about how hard it's been. But knowing he has to continue to fix what happened here. And Medkit can only wonder why Sword feels even the slightest bit responsible to the Scorch, and can only plead for the information Sword refuses to give up. But now Sword demands to know what Medkit was doing in the Church. And ok I'm yapping too much here you get the point 😔

But yeah that's all I got rn this kinda came to me on a whim.

Lmk if I should consider continuing this because idrk what else to do with it.

I'll probably end up rewriting my bulletpoints if anything and redrawing the cover

And yes you can use this for a fanfiction idea, I'd be happy to see it!
