Terrelle Pryor: '... I signed to be a Washington Redskin. It doesn’t matter who the quarterback is ...'
Newly signed free agent receiver Terrelle Pryor expressed his excitement of joining the Washington Redskins with media who cover the team via conference call.
The five-year pro, last season playing for the Cleveland Browns caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns.
In replacing one-half of last season’s starting tandem of DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, who departed from the Redskins…

A bigger Redskins receiving corp could lead to improved results in 2017
Few professional observers of the NFL would have suggested that the Washington Redskins could have an improved group of wide receivers after the departures of Pierre Garçon and Desean Jackson. However, with the free agent signing of former Cleveland Browns pass catcher Terrelle Pryor, the Burgundy and Gold could be even more formidable in 2017.

Oakland BBY!
TD, Terrell Pryor. About Time!
Pryor History Tells another Story
Ten seasons, ten thousand two hundred and forty eight passing yards, forty four touchdowns, fifty eight interceptions and a career QB rating of 67.9, decent numbers for a man taken in the first round of the supplemental draft by the New York Giants. It was nineteen years ago, in 1992 when Duke quarterback Dave Brown was selected in the first round of the Supplemental draft. Brown was the last quarterback selected in the supplemental draft and the fifth overall at his position. Some of the quarterbacks have had adequate careers, Bernie Kosar and Dave Wilson and others have had careers easier to forget, Timm Rosenbach and Steve Walsh. As long as the Supplemental draft has been around, there has never been a more intriguing player than Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor.
As a supporter of college football, it has been hard to miss the numbers Terrelle Pryor stacked up during his collegiate career. Over Terrell Pryor three year stay at Ohio State he went 33-5 as a starter, threw for over six thousand yards and rushed for two thousand more. Pryor threw for fifty seven touchdowns and only twenty six interceptions, in the process establishing himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever take the field in scarlet and gray. In Pryor case, like other amateur and pro athletes, skill doesn’t carry off the field. This season was suppose to be Pryor memorable senior season in the horseshoe, instead he is searching for a pro franchise who would like his services. Where did it all go wrong for Terrelle? The minute he traded his memorabilia for tattoos might have been a start, but really the finale might have been when he flashed a Nissan 350z in front of the media. The car alone has an average price of twenty grand. Nice car for a full time “un-paid” college football player. Whatever transgressions Pryor committed as a Buckeye may have been absolved by the NCAA but they are not forgotten by the NFL
Last season, Ben Roethlisberger was the only quarterback suspended in the NFL. This season Terrelle Pryor will be suspended even before he takes a professional snap. Roger Godell decided to keep the five game suspension levied by the NCAA on Pryor. With a five game suspension coming, what team will take a chance on Pryor? Is he worth a first round choice? With high class super agent and manipulator Drew Rosehaus calling the shots for Pryor, chances are some team will salivate at the chance to work with the six foot six specimen and Rosenhaus salesman pitch. Would a team like the Washington Redskins take a shot? Coach Shanahan has a history of trying to help Ohio State talent mature(Maurice Clarett). Could the Bills bite on Rosenhaus pitch? The team has a solid guy in Ryan Fitzpatrick but after him on the depth chart there isn’t much depth at all. No matter the team, Terrelle Pryor is a raw talent who needs to be molded into a Pro style quarterback. The biggest issue for Pryor that NFL teams need to weigh on Monday is his lack of maturity. Pryor has proven to be a winner in college but can he prove to be leader in the pros or will he sink into the purgatory of NFL quarterbacks who attended Ohio State and flamed out in the pros. Would Pryor switch to another position? Tom Tupa became a punter and had a long Career. Picture it: Wide Receiver Terrell “Slash and Dash” Pryor. It is obvious Pryor has athletic ability, how bad does he want to be in the NFL or was he just escaping college?
Extra Period: There has been a lot of discussion in the media lately about the top ten quarterbacks in the NFL. If you one see four of the top ten, watch tonight’s preseason games. Tom Brady, Josh Freeman, Ben Roethlisberger and Michael Vick. It should make for one hell of a night of preseason football.
Herm Edwards is the man
Herm Edwards just said that the best place for Terrell Pryor to go is to the Philadelphia Eagles. Think about it, he sits and LEARNS behind an amazing mobile quarterback in Michael Vick for 2-4 years, comes into a similar offense, and coach Andy Reid likes mobile quarterbacks. Smart man, Herm Edwards.
