With days numbered, Asra had been even more withdrawn than the usual lately; soon, it would be the crisis point in Cottage’s timeline too, and they knew there was no stopping the release of Eshu’s Ruse form. Even now, Asra couldn’t stop the gnawing curiosity at what he MEANT when he said THEY would free him. Not to mention, the guilt that came with that. It wasn’t something Asra would actually do of their own volition, was it?
No matter WHAT the Ruse form held over their head, they wouldn’t spell out doom for everyone around them for something so utterly SELFISH... wouldn’t they?
Having no answers and even less will to think more on the subject, Eshu’s marked mortal wandered. The deity’s Jinx form had been busy helping Ruse prepare and they’d (miraculously) managed to lose the lamb, so for the time being Asra was completely unattended outside the town.
A familiar voice called out to them –– only it took a moment to register –– whoever this was called them ‘ Luz ’. There was some hesitation as the human turned to locate the source of the voice, lo and behold, it was none other than KING. Dual colored hues blinked in wide-eyed disbelief as the titan ran to them on all fours, as if they genuinely had no clue how to respond to this development. That was until he was upon them, the realization that they were so close to Eshu’s town and HE was here.
Their normally reserved demeanor wavered as they looked to him, eyes darted about, noticing they weren’t watched their shoulders relaxed slightly. Finally, King was met with a smile. He was OKAY, King had managed to SURVIVE the Day of Unity two years ago. The relieved smile left their features as they looked around once more.
“ Where’s Eda? And Lilith? ” Both of them had run after King when he disappeared, not seeing them with King was alarming, to say the least.
