Okay I'm Australian and I know that like half of America is colder than Antarctica but the real question is do Americans know that 1/4 of Australia is on fire, 1/4 of Australia is flooding, 1/4 of Australia has been in drought for months, and the other 1/4 of Australia is humid as fuck and all of Australia is experiencing a heatwave with temperatures getting easily over 45°C/115°F?

Sorry but the media is so America-centred that it's all we ever see and hear about. No one knows about any of the shit happening in any country other than America. American natural disasters and shootings and all that make Australian news all the time, and I have never once seen a record of an Australian natural disaster or terrorist attack making American news.

Sorry to any Americans that are following me that are gonna get upset about this, it is fully my experience and true to me.

I‘ll mention the big one:(ACTUAL, REAL) Child pornography. I 100% agree with that specific content being censored ( - and, well, illegal), as (ACTUAL, REAL) children are being harmed in the process of making it.I agree with instances of (ACTUAL, REAL) violence being censored in media (to a certain degree), and I’d personally advocate for a ‘safer’ presentation of the same on platforms like news websites - because I don’t need an auto-playing video of people getting run over as the first thing presented when I’m trying to read a news article.I’m a little torn when it comes to censoring specific language, but I’ll submit and adhere to it until I’ve formed a complete and defensible stance on it. I’ll admit I’m biased in this instance. Where I come from, we can say swear words on live television.

On my morning tour earlier I saw a plane flying really really low above the ground, like it was just about to land, or had just started, and I was like “Whoa this is awesome”, and that moment kinda struck me. It’s just... I’m grateful to live in a country in which I can see a plane flying above me and find it cool and interesting, instead of being terrified.
