On the 19th February 2020, a year ago today, the racist terror mass shootings of Hanau took place. Today we remember Ferhat Unvar, Mercedes Kierpacz, Sedat Gürbüz, Gökhan Gültekin, Hamza Kurtović, Kaloyan Velkov, Vili Viorel Păun, Said Nesar Hashemi and Fatih Saraçoğlu and stand in solidarity with their families and friends.

FIRST DRIFT - an exploration and determination to prove someone wrong. not only but to never gives up. to prove yourself ( himself ) wrong. the fighting chance to throw theories out the door with a visual example. even if that meant ( him ) that could permanently cause a death or underlying issue. no records, only that it was to be recorded. control specimen (1) .
SECOND DRIFT - a tactical field, when going stronger of a feeling to survive. the statistics now sealed, if this wasn’t going to kill him the first time. then it meant something, only - the pressure of surviving widened. when the kaiju attacked the shelter, he did not move away. a tested theory, knowing some part of him had dwelled to believe a connection. not only with hermann, after the drift. but a bound line far worse and dangerous. adapted specimen (1) .
DRIFTS AFTER - the itch that crawled, almost an addiction taste. the need and supplement needed to silent the controls that were no longer his. however the second - ( precursors ) being in mind that wrapped tightly around genius’ brain. picking the equipment and finalizing the further threat of possession of body. end result (1) .
The new years festivities had been going for hours and as the sun set The Three Broomsticks began passing out mugs of hot chocolate and welcoming people inside for a meal. The games with all their buzzers and whistles continued and students flocked to the ice skating rink. Couples began to form and disappear into little alleyways and darker corners despite the cold and friends and groups wandered into the shops to see some after Christmas deals. Everyone was enjoying themselves and waiting for midnight, wondering if the school had organised anything special, and they had indeed.
When the clock struck midnight, fireworks of both muggle and magical invention went off in a dazzling display of light and colour. Blankets were handed out as students, teachers and villagers alike delighted in the display. But soon the cries of delight became shrieks of fear as death eaters began to appear in the sky, the dark mark shot up beside crackles of unicorns and dragons. But due diligence had been paid to this event, no one wanted a repeat of anything bad and aurors had been stationed throughout the village. They acted swiftly, evacuating students to the castle and the outskirts of Hogsmeade and sending the death eaters disapparating left and right. Some students hid in shops or in alleys but the aurors fought hard and soon there were no more death eaters in Hogsmeade.
The aftermath was solemn, nearly every window in Hogsmeade had been broken, pieces of bricks and the remains of destroyed carnival games littered the ground. The shops affected weren’t too bad off, nothing that couldn’t be repaired in a day or so. But the students were shaken and Dumbledore himself was seething, his students attacked again.
A few students suffered minor injuries, nothing worse than a broken wrist or minor burn reported and those that had not been initially evacuated were found and tended to. There were no casualties and no one had been taken, no student or adult. The attack was confusing, harrowing and a reminder that a war was waiting outside the ruined safety of Hogwarts. No one was untouched by the violence and fear and all future large events have been cancelled, with quidditch matches the only kind being allowed, under heavy auror supervision, once the term resumed. The whole village was buzzing with embellished stories of heroism and terror, as everyone had only one thing to talk about, the attack on Hogsmeade even made the daily prophet and made many wonder; where do we go from here?

The vast majority of students here evacuated almost immediately, bundled away under guard and in a panic with little news as to what happened.
A few students; couples looking for dark corners and those who had strayed from the main thoroughfares were not immediately picked up and have more of an idea of what happened although most of this number stayed well out of any line of fire and were brought to safety either during the attack or just after.
An even smaller handful did not flee or freeze but instead fought. Aurors were quick to evacuate any students they did spot, although a few did slip though the cracks.
In sum, the attack itself did not last longer than forty five minutes and by one fifteen all students had been found and gathered together,
The only death eaters involved in the attack were those outside of school, only those few in school with the dark mark would have any advance warning but even they did not know specifics. Later, anyone affiliated with the death eaters will be asked to share any information they might have about the auror response.

It is up to each individual mun how involved your character is in this event as we understand the themes it covers may not be everyone’s cup of tea. It is for this reason that threads from our previous mini event may be continued during this event.
All characters are assumed to have been evacuated in the initial rush unless you contact us to discuss differently. We are very open to the idea of characters being caught more directly in the chaos but as we do not wish to force what could be potentially triggering themes onto anyone we are working under that original assumption.
Do not have your character caught up directly in the attack without first messaging and getting a response. We are open to helping work out ideas as well as approving ideas.
The event will last from midnight 26th November gmt until Sunday 1st December.

Those are the sad numbers just from this past weekend, just from Europe and North America.
Takemehomefromnarnia categorically condemns any and all acts of terrorism. Attacking innocent people can never be justified, not for any political or religious belief or agenda.
We offer our love and support to all victims. Our thoughts go out to the wounded and to the families whose loved ones were killed.
Let’s also not forget about the indirect victims of attacks like this one: all of us who are left a little darker by yet another shadow on our soul.
We do not claim to have the answer; even the question is fluid and ever changing. But this we do know:The intent or terrorism is not to kill, but to make witnesses so afraid that we change how we live our daily lives. The average citizen may not be able to stop acts of terror, but we can chose how we react to them. Terrorism is only effective if it makes people afraid. So let’s choose to not be afraid.
We will continue to gather together. We will continue to spread our rainbows. We will continue to celebrate and enjoy the music we love. We will continue to be courageous and strong.
