Nerves tied her stomach into knots and she was bouncing on the balls of her feet, glad she had decided against the high heels she had mulled over. As tempting as the allure of extra height was, she didn’t want her match — to think, some one actually swiped up on her — to notice how uncomfortable she was in the 6-inch tall heels. Her ankles would be shaking as much as her fingers were right now, as she hovered by the bar, standing upright and looking around for a wizard she didn’t even know looked like.
Her normally wild and bushy curls were tamed thanks to a Weasley’s Wizard Wheeze’s potion and pulled into a low side ponytail hanging over her shoulder. Her makeup was minimal but she had dressed for an occasion — far from casual and obviously waiting on a date. Her fingers fiddled with the large cream buttons on her coat as she waited.
It had been a long, long time for her. Her love life was abysmal and the last time she had to flirt and actually go on dates with someone she didn’t know already like the back of her hand was Victor — and he had liked her before she even gave him a second glance. Her biggest worry was running out of things to say.... and sweating. Every time she got nervous, the room seemed to heat up ten fold. She didn’t want to sweat off the little make up she was actually wearing.
