It’s uncomfortable in his head right now. Is it even his head? At least he had one- Haha. Head. He shakes his head quickly to dispel those thoughts, because apparently Aiba wasn’t here to do it for him. It felt...lonely, more than anything. While he’d gone the first year of his life like this without her, it had been five years since...he’d been alone.
He has a phone now too, since apparently Aiba’s functions in his left eye aren’t working. He’s been looking through all the functions, trying to find out if there’s a NILE equivalent, where he could possibly send Mizuki a message. He hopes she’s okay. She’ll be pissed as hell at him, since they were supposed to be getting dinner together.
He brings up his hand to gently rest against his left eye as he’s lost in thought about Aiba, Mizuki, Iris, and the others... So lost, in fact, he nearly doesn’t see her. And when he does, it takes him a moment because surely his brain is playing tricks on him.
But no. It’s really her.
“Iris!”
Before he knows it, he’s running over to her, a relieved smile on his face.
“Oh man, I’m so glad to see you. Have you seen Mizuki at all, by any chance? She’s probably going to kill me for leaving her.”
He looks down once more at his phone before slipping it into his pocket.
“Anyway, I’m glad to see you’re doing okay after your surgery. And before you ask--I am not playing ShovelForge with you.”
