my favorite animal rn is probably the hermanns tortoise. theyre so small and cute and are not pack/herd/rtc animals like most ankmals that are big in the pet trade or popular in the wild (dogs horses wolves etc), so their brains work similarly to mine, which is missing a lot of emotions and instincts associated with humans. i think we both share a trait of not bonding to other people in a pack bond way, but we can have positive associations, like tortoises do when you've fed them for a long time and not ever hurt them if theyre in captivity. maybe they even enjoy touch because youre warm and often put them in nice warm soaks. positive associations. i think i would love to see a hermanns tortoise in the wild irl. i wouldnt touch or bother it of course. but i would love to catch sight of one ambling about. eince thats not happening (i live nowhere near them and dont travel unless i must) can i see some hermanns tortoises in the wild in photo form? i dont mind whether theyre eastern western or dalmation i just want to see their precious faces... maybe eating a tasty snack even...., ough i love them so much
Yes. They are good turtles.
