marshh, tell me what made you like landoscar so much (individually and as a ship)?

at first glance i said to myself i have no idea they just put their claws in me and forced my hand???

but looking at it further i think it’s because i can relate to both of them and their dynamic so much

i first felt an attachment to lando because he’s so himself unapologetically, so incredibly kind, and the shifting of his personality in different settings (yet still himself) really drew me in because i feel/do that within myself as well

then i saw more media of oscar and realized he’s the same as lando just in a different font. more reserved but still unapologetically himself (even a little cringe sometimes which i relate to HARD), so kind and respectful, tries to get the best out of things even if it’s hard to.

and their dynamic is so cute to me bc it almost resembles the grumpy/sunshine trope (which is one of my favorites IN FICTION, maybe not real life 🥲). like oscar’s not grumpy really but he definitely is more chill while lando tends to carry the energy. but it’s also unlike a lot of pairings in the f1 side of things which i found interesting. lando treats oscar differently than he treats others—he’s softer for the most part, doesn’t poke fun at him too harshly. it’s like he has a soft spot scooped out just for oscar (cuteeee). and oscar doesn’t mind lando’s chaos for the most part—he finds lando endearing and plays along/or pushes back on lando’s shenanigans. i feel he finds it a good opportunity or outlet to engage in a little bit of whimsy and be himself.

even though they’re both the same at heart which i think draws them to like/understand each other, they can be widely different. adds a layer of something new that each of them can experience/learn from each other. overall theyre so soft (i’m a softy) yet they can be spicy sometimes with landos brat tendencies that i love.

"What if he was real, though?" Lando bites his lip idly, nodding to the round piece of plastic in Oscar's hands.

"What— this?" Oscar holds up the tamagotchi, thankfully just fidgeting with the keychain now and seemingly done senselessly banging it on the table.

"Him," Lando ammends with a huff, "and like, not him exactly. Not a creature. But, like, a real actual baby."

"Jesus, Lando," Oscar's fond amusement coming through in a breathy laugh, "you're seriously getting baby fever from this thing?"

Lando scowls, snagging the tamagotchi from Oscar's fingers. "Whatever. Shut up. Are you going to fuck me about it later, or not?" There's a deep blush immediately blooming on Oscar's cheeks at that.

okay fujo fic really intrigued me 🔎👀

okay this one is particularly crazy i feel. anyway oscar is a girl bc she’s hot and before she and lando were teammates she used to be a hugeeeee fan who wrote explicit fanfiction about nortrell. they eventually get together, she tells him the truth at some point, this stuff happens before the fic starts. anyway its oscar’s birthday and oscar hates her birthday but lando wants to make it special so he invites max over and they act out one of her fics for her in real life. it came to me randomly the other day and i wrote the first 500 words of it but it’s currently tabled while i finish up other stuff.

ahh okay I am finally getting to these! <3

this wip is pillow princess lando but with the angsty twist of him being too ashamed to communicate it. the set up is lando and oscar have just recently started hooking up, and it's all butterflies and excitement. except that lando doesn't like riding his partners, and much prefers to be laid out and fucked instead, but he's dismissive and hard on himself about it and thinks he needs to just power through it. here's a snippet from my imperfect first draft:

“Fuck, ride me baby,” he nips at Lando’s bottom lip, breathless, “just like this. Wanna see you.” Even with Oscar's words mumbled softly against his mouth, they stop Lando dead in his tracks. A broken noise he hopes Oscar will mistake as wanting tumbles out, as any relief he was beginning to find in their heated kiss shatters all at once. Lando’s stopped kissing back. Something he only realizes as Oscar pulls away, giving them space to properly look at each other. Oscar's eyes are dark, pupils blown wide and wanting; his lips are well-kissed and shiny with spit. He's dazzling, achingly so, and Lando wishes he could appreciate it all as much it deserves – as much as Oscar deserves – but he feels a million miles away all of a sudden. He’s a stranger in his own body as he watches on with a slow motion dread as Oscar’s features lose that heat; something more like concern taking its place. It serves as surefire proof that Lando is ruining this, and is running out of precious seconds to salvage the moment before it’s really too far gone.

I've definitely been better. I'm never too sure how to answer that q, but I'm okay (cozy, safe, etc) but it's been a bit of a heavy day so just trying to shed it like a snake skin if it'll budge. thank you for asking <33 (and please tell me how you are doing in the comments if you'd like! <3)

the first fandom I was a part of in a community sense, like made a tumblr for, would have been bandom (band fandom), primarily: fall out boy, panic! at the disco, twenty one pilots, and my chemical romance. before that though, and before I really had internet access, it would have been one direction (I still remember the very first time I heard 'what makes you beautiful' on the radio!)

and the first fanfic is also 1d hehehe. I was drawn in by the 1d imagines on instagram, which led me to 1d memes, which led me to the very popular at the time fic about harry styles and oc named bo. the fic was called 'dark', and it was basically angsty bad boy harry styles who has a cool scar and gets in fights and watches you change through your open window but has a soft spot for you so it's totally fine lol but what can I say, I knew who I was from a young age 😇 hehe
