Avatars Involved: Texas, Vermont, Hawaii, and California
The gathering of States that were Former Nations. This is not a club that meets often because no one gets along well.Theoretically Mississippi and Florida probably sometimes come. If Cali can join they certain should be able to as well (The Bear Republic was a four day affair and only affected a small region). The Vermont Republic existed from 1777-1791, and happened (to simplify) because people got tired of New York fighting over them. It took a while to get the USA to recognize them as separate from New York, but finally they were admitted as a Free State to balance the slave state of Kentucky
Texas was recognized as a Nation by France, the USA, Denmark, and several others. The British Empire was iffy, not wanting to scuttle relations with Mexico, but they did enter into a trade agreement with Texas.
The Kingdom of Hawai’i was established in either in 1795 with the union of or in 1810 when all the Islands unified. In 1893 it was over thrown by American Business men with support from the US and other western powers, though before that it had essentially been a puppet government and was only overthrown because the last Monarch, Queen Liliuokalani, attempted to undo many of the rights taken away from Native Hawaiians. In SoD universe, the Kingdom of Hawaii was a separate Avatar from the Hawaii Avatar, and the Kingdom called by my CEO character so the baby Avatar was all that existed (so she would have been first The Republic of Hawaii, and then the State of Hawaii) This is a story that I have alluded to before both in Hawaii’s bio and in some other comics, and I hope will be a strip of It’s own.
