Light breaks in Longview, Texas - Gregg County. All thanks to Jackson Wyers @j_dubb for this lovely pastoral shot. Longview was founded April 7, 1870 by O.H. Methvin, a farmer who traded 100 acres for 1 gold dollar & a guarantee that the Railroad would build a town on the land. Railroad surveyors, named the city from Mr. Methvin's front porch on top of Rock Hill, after remarking on the "long view" from that vantagepoint.
