Tex-Mex Bacon Cheeseburgers are a tasty mix of traditional American burgers and a spicy Tex-Mex twist. When you put together juicy beef patties, crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese, and tangy toppings, you get a burger that really hits the spot.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 8 strips of bacon. 1/2 cup diced onions. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup sliced jalapeos. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 2 tablespoons ketchup. 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce. 1 teaspoon chili powder. 1/2 teaspoon cumin. Salt and pepper to taste. Lettuce leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into 4 burger patties. Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and allow it to melt. While the burgers are cooking, cook the bacon in a skillet until it's crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1 minute until lightly browned. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and barbecue sauce to create the sauce. Assemble the burgers by spreading the sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a burger patty with melted cheese on top of the sauce. Layer with bacon strips, diced onions, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeos, and lettuce leaves. Top with the other half of the bun, and secure each burger with a toothpick. Serve your Tex-Mex Bacon Cheeseburgers hot and enjoy!
