Something that's pretty funny about Dispatch is that out of the pool of the other initial members of the Z-Team is that like. 3 of them were normal people before this

Prism's criminal record is literally just Normal Music Star Behavior. Tax evasion, assault, drug possession, and at least one DUI charge

Sonar was a crypto bro before this and his criminal record also reflects this. Everything listed there is just the average charges of your run-of-the-mill rug pull (and also drugs because Narcotics Anonymous Member). Even with the knowledge that he can and will eat people given the opportunity, considering he was never charged with that we can safely assume it didn't really happen before the events of the game (we can also assume he was probably just talking big game. A. there were no cannibalistic tendencies displayed in the scenarios where he was kept on, even in his Mega Bat form and B. considering his record and the very solitary, chronically inside/online behavior it conduces, bro's a bit of a fucking pussy when it comes to crime. He didn't even dox people, just conned and bullied them)

And Golem's crimes just boil down to Existing At The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time Looking Like That

So from where I stand/sit, out of the 8 criminals, literally 3 of them were just some guy before this. Sonar has a video by Coffeezilla floating around about his crypto schemes. Prism was cancelled on twitter because she got into a physical fight with another singer. Golem was crossing the street when a store was robbed or something. They were dudes before this. And I think that's fucking hilarious. Absolutely Zero experience as actual super-powered menaces to society. Weren't even associated with criminal rings. Sonar associated with Mal (murdered) and crypto, but that's it.

And I find it really fucking funny

Especially imagining something like,

So... Homestuck "Comic Of Every Tumblr User's Childhood" is getting an animated pilot my Spindlehorse (Vivziepop is NOT ON THE TEAM. I WANT TO MAKE THAT VERY CLEAR. I need to be mad at this somewhere other than his comments section. Vote 4 Holt's Welcome to The Game 2 essay was taken down from YouTube due to their shitty botted/AI system rereviewing it with his recent sub milestone.

It saw a small snippet of the video where there was the word "Suicide" next to a heavily censored image of an actor faking being a corpse (context is WttG2 is a game based around the mythologized dark/deep web and its fucked up corners like Red Rooms and, well, places that will sell you images of Suicide Cases. Nothing depicted in the game is real, but enacts on the horror of the idea of a deep web where nothing is moderated by the idea of being public by giving you a lot of disturbing fake sites to go through where the fictional site authors don't fear their dirty laundry getting to anyone ever)

That video was a passion project of his and took him a lot of time and effort to create, not only because Welcome to the Game is notoriously hard, but because he went in depth on the game's legacy and infamy and how the preconceived notions of it have drastically effected the experience of the game's occasional glitches and difficulty. Including an interview with the developer on the creative decisions and how he feels about its perceptions.

It got so many people's eyes on Vote 4 Holt and gave a lot of people the needed insight on this near-decade's old game and give it the chance it deserves on its own merits and in its own field. It convinced me to buy the game! And I don't tend to gravitate towards games that actively hate you in its difficulty that much!

It's just unfair. Why do we have to be entering an age and era where pieces commentating on horror art have to skirt the depictions of its means of terror in order to appease the gods of corporations? Why do they have to double down when they're rightfully shown that doing so is an act of spite that spits on those who loved the work they stole from us, forcing him to have to do it again from scratch!? It's hard to type words to quantify the rage I want to unintelligibly scream about the necessity of depictions of depravity, especially in horror.

I know next to nothing about the intricacies of FL's deeper lore about the worldly situation, but goddamn is it really funny to think about London being next to hell and the world just wholly moves on without them. Nothing's really too different (yet, this is only the late 1800s), just that if you wanna take a holiday to London, you'll have to pack bat repellent and acknowledge you'll come back with the languages of societies long thought dead and precise knowledge of how you fit in the world's larger plans, but no accurate vocabulary or understanding of what was relayed to you in that precious lesson you learned and also drugs
