hello!! it is actually a reference to shakespeare, who coined the term “salad days” as a reference to the youth of one’s life.

so.. it’s... it’s about the youth of prompto’s life, but he’s also anorexic so he eats a lot of salads. his literal salad days. I’M PUNNY

this is also why all the chapter titles come from shakespeare as well; i just followed my own lead from the title. haha

((that being said i fuking love mac demarco so every time i think of my fic salad days DOES comes on in my head and i often listen to it on repeat as i post hehe))
