very simple coloured sketch that i spent way too much time on. persons from the upper right; Furiosity (Glorys mum), Muse (Hope's mother), Insight whom you’ve seen before, and lastly Revenant second oldest after Insight.

This is supposed to depict them when muse and fury are still teenagers, while insight is in her mid 20′s

Introducing our initial six species, and first six principalis creatures!

Top is of course Tezcacoatl, a quetzalcoatl. Far left below is Zareen, a phoenix. Next to her is Adrasteia, a unicorn. The next pair is JiaHong (laying) and ChangYi (sitting), who are a pair of ruishi. Beside them is MinJun, a qilin. And last in the row is Brennus, a grim hound.

The figure to the right is a human that’s approximately 5′5″.

Accent layering needs to be a Thing, because under the hood and cloak, Tezca is currently looking like this. 

I’m kinda sad that by the time my little ‘plot-ish thing’ with Tezca is over he’s going to be projecting himself as a rather freaky all black ‘shade thing’.

Like, baby no. You’re just trapped under Tarn’s claws and made to do horrific things on his command.

Tezca’s actually a cinnamon roll. A sweet, kind, generally submissive-in-personality cinnamon roll, who wears the pants when it comes to him and Xiuhcoatl.

Tezca did not ask for a student, he got one anyway.

Or, I have no self-control when it comes to pretty dragons and the AH.

No warnings other than pg-13 implied horribleness re: Shadowsong.

“You have a student.”

“Huh?” Tezcacoatl blinked, head turning to face the clan leader as the smaller drake stalked towards him.

“Need a repeat myself?”

“No. I’m... surprised. Tezca said nervously, eyes flicking to the shadows that seemed to wriggle and wonder over the drakes skin, exposing the pockmarks and scars of Plague only to cover them back up.  “Why do I have a student, Tarn?”

“He seems to be a psychic like you.” Was all the clan leader said; Tezca blanched. Oh deities, no. If Tarn noticed, he said nothing, only opened one of the massive wings to reveal the wide-eyed wildclaw hatchling. “And with Kerrigan’s... behavior of late..”

Tezca winced, flinching back at the reminder that for all Fenyx claimed Amon was harmless, there was something happening in the Swarm that even his aunts could give no clear answer to. Eyes didn’t just change colour overnight. Even Tarn’s Plague-red eyes were centered with Shadow-purple. Forever a reminder of his birth element.  “I see. What of his clan?”

Tarn wrinkled his snout. “Kaon’s report indicates they are of no consequence. They produced a psychic, we bought the welp.”

Much like the outside world, Tezca thought, anger flashing across his mind, yet he said nothing. Bought... did that mean the poor thing’s a slave?

He didn’t ask. He didn’t want to know. 

“G-give him to Daemon then-..” Tezca tried, only to flinch back at the low, guttural growl from the clan leader. “Tarn, he likely has no-”

“You will train him, Tezcacoatl.” The smaller drake said with finality, all but shoving the hatchling at the mindwalker. “Or else.” 

Tezca ducked his head in an effort to hide his flinch, waiting until Tarn’s steps had faded away before lifting his head to stare at the plagueling. He couldn’t have been more than a day old. 

Yet there was something about him, and if he was a mindwalker, Tezca knew, intimately, what Tarn wanted. 

He shivered, but there was little choice. Deliver a result, or suffer. “Come. Soundwave’ll want to know about you.” 

If the spy didn’t already know, he thought ruefully. “Do you have a name?”

“Kal’din.”

“I’m Tezcacoatl.”
