Knights of optimus:
I think Megatron could be as equally as obsessed with optimus as ultra magnus. but his obsession stems from wanting optimus as soldier rather than a weapon. He even used to encourage his soldiers to kidnap the prime so he can make him a decepticon.
He wants Op by his side because of the power he could wield by just having him be a Decepticon.
But Op all he wants to do is learn about earth with Sari. And hold her close. Call her his kid. Feel a special connection to her that has them practically inseparable.
He's made a little nest for her to sleep in besides him. And Sumdac. Well as long as his daughter is safe-

Guys I'm imagining Sari having energon for the first time.
She's sitting on Ops leg, sipping from a cup while he's sipping from a cube. She's all finished with her juice but wants some more.
She could get off and get some but suddenly the energon gets put down close to her and she never really realized how good it smelled.
Without Optimus or really the others seeing she dips her cup into his energon and takes a sip, before downing it. The energon stains her chin where it drips. And it's only then do the others realize what Sari had just done.
They are all freaking out, Optimus holding Sari, rubbing her back. And all she has to say about drinking something that the6ly all thought wasn't meant for her.
"It tasted fine to me. Tasted like Sprite without the fizzyness."
"Sumdac I think Sari needs medical attention she just drank from my energon cube."
Sumdac looks shy at first messing with his fingers. "Well I don't think she needs the hospital she will be fine."
"What do you mean?"
"Well. Uhh,,, You see. I didn't just adopt Sari after I found her. I found her in my lab. Only she wasn't flesh and bones. She was metallic until I touched her."

What if their time on Earth, instead of what it is in canon, is the entire pod getting captured and sent to an aquarium
The aquarium was founded by Isaac Sumdac, and aims to de-stigmatize the public perception of mers to the general public. Five mers being found injured and unconscious and being brought in? It would be a perfect supplement to the aquarium
plus, these warmer-water mers are a perfect way to add some more friendly-looking mers into the aquarium. Their more recent addition before them, a scarred great-white mer that stalks the length of his tank like he's hunting whoever is watching him, is... unnerving to the public. Smaller, more colorful mers are the perfect way to appeal to the public and give them other mers to look at!
When they all wake up, the entire pod's been split into different tanks and arranged in order of least to most threatening. As a lionfish, Optimus is last- right next to the doorway leading to the great white mer exhibit
Oh that's interesting for an alternative universe. One where thay are all injured. And op and Megan get to know eachother while caged.
But op someone gets moved. Or moves himself into megatrons tank.
Sari thinking she’s a human but is actually a mermaid. When Isaac found her she had a special necklace with her that he hid away.
She doesn't even know she's apart of royalty. And let's be honest her own carrier also didn't know.
Aka Op had a one night stand with Prince Megatron after saving him. And found out he was pregnant weeks later. Of course the mech he had fucked was gone.
But it's OK. He has his found family to help.
Though on her 2nd birthday she is given a gift by a hooded figure. Hence the necklace. (Yes Megatron knows of her existence. But can't get her and Op because Megazark is still alive and would condem his son if he ever found out he fucked a comminer.)
Of course she gets captured when she's 2 and a half. But with a series of unfortunate events ends up near a light house where Sumdac takes her in and raises her as his own. Hiding the necklace away so it wouldn't get damaged. He was going to give it back to her at a later date.
Op has been searching for his missing girl for all these years, and also Megatron(secretly.)
Well in the AUs where the Autobots join the Decepticons they can work together to make Energon on Earth so that everyone can be properly fed.
All of Team Prime is thankful for finally getting some because the rations they were given when doing bridge repair were of course of low quality naturally and well over fifty years old now.
The Cons courting them make sure they always get the best, it’s part of the ritual steps. Also they will not be outdone by Starscream!
Bulkhead gets extra of course because Strika and Lugnut are making up for lost time and want to spoil him

Sari. She wants to try it out of curiosity, and just one sip turns into chugging it back. And op, Megatron are horrified. Forcing Sumdac to reveal the truth of Sari's origins.
Sari will hold Op close, crying into his hold that she can't be a robotic girl. But the energon is already doing its job she can hear metal turning as if turning on for the first time.
Anyways yes Strika and Lugnut will spoil their baby while the others use it for courting materials.
