Dare I suggest the idea of ace Tf!Avid...? (or at least on the spectrum)

He wants people to beat them up but like. Not in a sexual way. In a "I'm desperate for human contact and this is the only I feel I'm able to get it also I like feeling pain to punish myself and to feel alive and also I'm a freak but not sexually" way. Which I think is better, personally.

from what I’m gathering from avid and water talking after they fell out over the fact that they were a prince both of them see the world in different ways.

Water sees it as truths and facts. What you are born as is what you are and your circumstances are what you have to live with. He sees Avid as just a prince and not someone who is trying to move on from that life and has been trying for ten years. Water’s early life has followed him into his name, his magic, and his fears and it has haunted him for his entire life.

Avid sees it as opportunities and change. What you are is what you make yourself to be and you can change your circumstances and learn from mistakes. They were born as a prince but through their actions they have taken their own life into their own hands and it no longer follows them as closely as Water’s life does. He thinks that Water can move on from his past but doesn’t realize that it haunts him and will continue to do so no matter what Water does.

this might not be the most accurate thing but it’s rly interesting to listen to them argue and hearing their separate views on the world.

I don’t normally advertise the fics I make but I’m super proud of this one and it’s over 2k words so here is my Tf!Avid fic :3

Being a prince, Avid had learned how to fake happiness from a young age. To smile for the crowds that had traveled across the land to see him, to smile as he walked through the town to greet his future subjects, to keep smiling no matter how many atrocities they saw.

It was rare that anything made that feeling come naturally, made the smile genuine, made a pleasant warmth grow in their chest. But he did all of those things.
