Boi sleeps in his vehicle mode because it’s essentially just the fetal position also he can’t really lay on his back or anything it’s just uncomfortable for him. (Also I just really like drawing his vehicle mode djsjsmsbj I just like cars )
I am 110% convinced that rodimus appropriates drift's kunai to graffiti the table during command meetings when magnus confiscates his laser scalpel
rodimus gets away with it by reminding magnus that he has no idea just how many of them drift has subspaced. does he really want to spent the entire meeting playing pass the kunai?
[magnus grumbles and still confiscates the first one on sheer principle]
Does Cybertron have a sun or a star possibly capable of producing solar energy nearby? I don't remember anymore... Sorry to bother you :(
Alright anon, I’ve looked into it and the answer is: it depends on the continuity. In some continuities Cybertron has apparently drifted from it’s star and floats about the galaxy, in others (and you can see in many pictures of Cybertron (Beast wars, Bayformers, Animated) ) that the sun is clearly there, it’s just far away.
Provided whichever Cybertron you’re writing for hasn’t drifted (I believe it’s g1 that’s drifted, and I am not sure of the aligned continuities status) then however far from the sun Cybertron is, it would still be capable of harnessing solar energy. I’m basing this off the fact that; a) Cybertron’s sun does not appear as small as our sun does from Pluto, and b) Our sun (which is by no means an exceptionally powerful one) is so bright that Pluto’s daytime is still 600 times brighter than Earth’s nighttime.
So I think there’s a lot of variables you can work with to get the answer you’re looking for :3 Maybe Cybertron has a really bright star, maybe the metal surface contains natural pockets that retain heat and energy so well that it naturally harvests solar energy, it’s up to you!
I like to think that it's something they acquired or learned. Like maybe when stating their argument against the case of having a caste system was a thing, that is before all hell from loose (see: The Great War), they'd decided they'd learn the way these bots from the higher caste speak in order to avoid being mocked for having such a brutish way of talking, and since then they've retained it, and one can see it as their way of further going against the system.
I like that idea a lot! It’s sort of like the idea someone (I forget who) had about Cybertronians not knowing how to write anymore (because they all type) and Decepticons learning how to, so that they could write like liberation messages and protests over the sides of buildings and stuff, and it was very unsettling for Autobots because they had this sense that Decepticons were like… evolving. (They explained it way better) Essentially as if you woke up one day to your dog writing that they wanted to go outside instead of just barking at you.
Here, the more proper way of talking would have been implemented both to be taken seriously, and also to shock: all the sudden you’ve got a new Decepticon leader who is speaking better than the average Autobot. I think that would be jarring.
Okay! Thank you! I really love that :3
