You and rooster made an arrangement when you were 18 years old, that if either of you needed a date to an event and you were both single you would be each others date, you try your best to be at every celebration and ceremony for your education and respective careers. you managed to keep this up for a while, but the life of a doctor and the life of a navy aviator never seem to line up and suddenly you find yourself not only cities but countries away from one another and the arrangement falls to the background of your minds that is until you move to San Diego and Rooster finds himself calling on your arrangement one last time.

The worst part, he didn’t even mean to call you. Didn’t even know your cell number was still in service, or that you were in the same city as him and yet here you are, ushering him gently into your car and taking him home. Even if the world isn’t ending, his is certainly tumbling down as he takes you in a realises he never stopped loving you.

No one expected Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin to settle down, especially not the rest of dagger who saw his flirtations first hand, so when he brings his wife to the Hard Deck chaos absolutely ensues.

Falling in love with Jake Seresin again was like coming home, it was a feeling of safety, or warmth, of a missing puzzle piece finally sliding into place. it was the feeling of becoming whole once again.

Since he was young Bob struggled with his vocalising his feelings, so he wrote. He wrote and wrote spilling all his feelings onto the page until there was nothing else to write. Which is how you ended up with a box of letters and notes he had written you hidden amongst your belongings.
