I WANNA KNOW THE OTHER FOUR FOR TAHANI THO ps eleanor loves tahani pass it on
The Good Place and 9 for the Top 5 Fandom thing!
Top 5 Headcanons (from this ask)
1 – Jason has at least one undiagnosed neuro-development condition – quite likely including ADHD, among other things – drastically exacerbated by his awful (lack of) education and bad environment. I mean, I know it’s an over the top comedy, and I know that on a meta level he’s written that way bc they’re making fun of Florida (Jason is the mythical Florida Man), but that’s still just on a meta-level. They’re not mutually exclusive.
2 – Simone is Definitely Not Straight, because simulation!Simone was programmed by Janet to react to things exactly as Simone would in real life, and simulation!Simone was totally into flirting with Eleanor
3 – At this point it’s canon that Eleanor is Not Straight, and I’m totally on board the “bi Eleanor” train, but I also kind of like to think that she might ID as pan.
Uh, sort of running out of major headcanons, so let’s come up with some!
Oh! 4 – Eleanor intentionally didn’t put a lot of effort into her classes in high school because she didn’t want to be the teacher’s pet, but she was actually a really good student when she was younger.
MAJOR SEASON TWO SPOILERS
5 – In Season 1, Eleanor said that Jason was “her type back on Earth” (hot and dumb) and, y’know, Eleanor’s canonically the kind of person who’ll sleep with someone just to get them to stop talking to her (so she’s not that picky), and Jason will romance anyone that smiles at him. so I think it’s kind of unavoidable that, at least once, somewhere in the 800 or so reboots, Jason and Eleanor slept together. I don’t ship them at all (I kinda see them as the ultimate trashbros), but like… *sighs deeply and pinches nose* logic.
Michael: I never understood why people cared about their dumb humans so much until I got some dumb humans of my own.
Michael: I've only known Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason for about 800 years, but if anything happened to them, I would retire everyone in the multiverse and then myself.

the episode "Diana, Rhonda, Jake, and Trent" was created specifically to make me feel attracted to Jason and I still resent it for that
Spoilers for The Good Place 2x11 “The Burrito” beneath the cut.
So like... I’m having trouble with Jason’s test because... I don’t really see how refusing to play would have counted as a success? She was testing his impulse control, which makes sense, his impulses do tend to be pretty criminal in nature (though I wish the show ever spent any active time exploring Jason’s moral development the way it does for the other characters, but I digress). But I don’t see how refusing to play the game if he has to play against his favorite team is a success of character. If anything, I think she originally expected him to pitch a fit about having to play against the Jaguars, or get frustrated with the game and wreck something, and those were the original terms of failure, but then Jason basically told her “shut up, I got this,” and she was so appalled she failed him on the spot for something completely different than what she was originally testing for. I feel like, if he hadn’t done that, he actually would have passed with flying colors -- when he got frustrated, instead of chucking his controller at the TV or something, he stopped and meditated (again, I would have loved to have seen Jason actively struggling with his impulse control to be a better person over the course of the show and develop meditating as a habit but... comic relief character, I guess). Usually this show is really well written, but Jason’s test was just kind of sloppy.
EDIT: I just rewatched that bit and she does actually mention that he showed great improvements. I guess I’m still just stuck on how “asking not to play” counts as impulse control when she was actively setting the game itself up as the test.
I’m rewatching “The Burrito” and just.... I love Tahani so much, I don’t think I realized how much until this moment.
I hate what happened to him but I really liked seeing Chidi get truly furious in The Trolley Problem, it adds a great layer to his (already great) character -- seeing him so firm in his conviction for once because he’s so pissed.
