'Have the hunting heirs found their quarry yet? Perhaps the witches scent might help.' A seashell is dropped in front of them, smelling strongly of the ginger mage and her magic.
The heirs gather round the seashell, each of them sniffing it excitedly.
“Towed’s been gone since Papi came home,” Bronté said, pawing at the seashell.
“Whatcha mean?” Braxas asked, trying to get a look at the ridged back of the seashell. “Papi was the towed!”
Velda stuffed her nose into the smooth, curved inside of the shell, taking a big whiff before pulling back with a wide, toothy grin. “But now we’s got a new hunt! 'N’ this shell gonna lead us ta them!”
The three cheered as Velda held up the shell and bounded away, Bronté and Braxas following her.
“Wait! I didn’ get ta see it!” Sturgeous complained and hurried to catch up with his siblings.
BEHOLD: MY FJPIG FANKIDS, LYRA AND SEPRA! Because Ovni wasn’t enough, lmao.
(Side note, but I cannot BELIEVE I created these gals ages ago and just... never got around to mentioning them on here. Nice one, Stella :>)
Lyra is the one on the left, and the older of the two. She’s 5 years younger than Ovni, and, height-wise, takes after John: she’s probably a little under 6 feet/1.8 meters. She has the physical appearance of a full Grey— this Picrew of her is basically how she’d look with a TH circuit— but inherited Dad’s green eyes. (Though she has freckles whenever she puts her circuit on, so thanks for those, Mom!! :D) She’s an extrovert through and through, and some of her favorite things include but are not limited to: long swishy dresses, makeup, pastel colors, the outdoors (she’s a desert rat at heart, which is a bit ironic, given everything that transpired with her parents in the desert), reptiles, indie music, space-themed jewelry, and roller skating. She’s a good person— at least, she certainly likes to think she is!— but if you disrespect people she loves, she won’t hesitate to shut that shit down FAST.
Sepra is 2 years younger than Lyra, and similar to Ovni in that she very much looks like a Grey-human hybrid. She’s far more reserved than Lyra, and much more at home curled up with a book than out and about exploring the livelier parts of NYC. (This isn’t to say she’s opposed to going out: she usually just needs to be in a Certain Mood to agree.) Some of her favorite things are: books (she looooves science-fiction/fantasy novels, especially if romance is also involved), singing metal with Ovni at the Skunked Skink on karaoke night— which she will never, ever say no to, no matter how tired or socially-drained she is otherwise), knitting, long walks through the park, stealing borrowing her sister’s clothes, stargazing (sometimes even nebula-gazing when she can hitch a ride on the Grey mothership), writing okay-ish poetry (she’s getting better!!!), and chunky sweaters (that she made herself, of course.) Like Lyra, she’s a kind person, but she doesn’t take well to assholes.
They’re both very close to their parents and brother. Just one big, happy, interspecies family <3
(I put the means of their existence under the cut since it’s via Pigment getting pregnant, so just be forewarned if that makes you uncomfortable.)
I imagine the girls came to be due to the development of a very powerful TH circuit that gives the wearer functioning, human-compatible reproductive organs. AKA, Pigment and John Did The Do, Pig got pregnant, etc etc. I also like to being in human form during pregnancy made Pigment less physically “fragile” than if she’d carried the girls in her actual form. With Lyra, John— and Pig— were probably a bit nervous in the beginning, though, regardless.
I’m also playing with the idea that Lyra was... unexpected, but not unwanted. My thoughts are that Pig and John are talking about wanting another kid: Pigment would have the baby herself if that were possible, but obviously since it isn’t (ha >:D), they might look into adopting a young, orphaned alien.) Flash forward, and eventually they get their hands on a new, improved circuit being touted as the most “advanced” model yet. However, nobody realizes just how advanced it is until John and Pigment come to the creators of the new model with Pigment, like, clearly pregnant lmao. Cue the discovery of this circuit’s full potential, yadda yadda yadda. I don’t know if this is just a huge plot hole, though, because it seems really unlikely the creators of this circuit WOULDN’T be aware of its full capabilities before releasing it to the public. But also it’s my AU and this is purely for fun sooooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
