14, 15, and 25 for the fic asks! :)
14. a fic you didn’t expect to writehmm this is an interesting one because at the beginning of the year i didn’t expect to write ANY fics, and here i am with 25 and an unpublished OFN work. one of the ones that really came out of nowhere for me was Pretty Boy Swag, aka the fratpat fic. it came about as a result of a little exchange with some fellow authors, and it kind of took me by surprise.
15. something you learned this yearoh god. that without a community of supportive, brilliant, caring, wonderful people, i would not be able to continue creating. i have lucked into a fandom with (mostly) kind people, and i definitely learned that they make me better on every level as a writer.
25. a fic you read this year you would recommend everyone readthis is an impossible question because there are so so so many excellent fics and writers in the schitt’s creek fandom. i’m going to rec one that i feel like deserves more recognition because of how absolutely magnificent it is. @nilolay wrote a fic that changed the game. Path to Paradise, Road to Ruin tells the epic of orpheus and eurydice but through david and patrick, and the entire thing is in rhyming verse. it is absolutely stunning.
