one episode where Merritt and Jack get a new bunk bed from IKEA and the entire episode is them struggling to put it together

Dylan and Thaddeus do a small heist together but accidentally get seen at the end by like a bachlorette party and have to call Merritt to hypnotize them to forget about it and he’s like “yall are hardcore Eye magicians you can’t fix this yourself?” and Dylan goes “neither of us are mentalists, what do you want us to do, kill them?”

Danny is getting increasingly paranoid because everyone is acting slightly Off and it’s because they’re planning his surprise birthday party

Through a series of events, after staunchly refusing to do so the whole episode, Lula is forced to recreate her ‘hat out of a rabbit’ trick

Henley shows up like “I’m gonna jump in a crocodile enclosure for a thing, can you watch my kid for a bit?” And Babysitting ensues

another episode with Henley (perhaps multiple) where she participates in the latest heist/magic show but always makes it back to her house before the cops bust her like “what’s happening officer I’ve been home all day innocent blink” ala Antman and the Wasp. Other times she’s the tech person who hacks into stuff and monitors cameras

Dylan’s FBI ex-coworkers/boss are reoccurring antagonists. At one point after setting up a sting all episode, they fail to catch the Horsemen. What went wrong? The Horsemen used pigeons to communicate and avoid the trap

Thaddeus and/or one of the other Eye magicians shows up occasionally to be weird and cryptic and either cause problems or give vague, eventually useful advice (or both)

post nysm1 hjinks with Dylan maintaining his cover and the Horsemen screwing around

Ok listen I agree it would be very ooc for Dylan to have broken out of prison and not told the horsemen about it, and I agree it's very likely that the hologram is fake. But the funniest explanation for all that is that Thaddeus broke him out like very shortly before or even during the events of nysm3, and Dylan went absolutely nysm2-level feral trying to see his kids, and Thaddeus had to physically hold him back the entire movie so that Charlie could cook up his revenge plot. And there's a reel of footage from some secret magic base somewhere of Dylan trying to get back to his kids and being stuck in increasingly ludicrous magic booby traps. And then he finally gets out and the heist is over and he decides to send that hologram and pretends to be nonchalant because god forbid atlas realizes how much he cares he'd never live it down. Do you see my vision?

Genuinely insane that in NYSM2, Thaddeus basically says “your dad probably died because he just couldn’t hack it 🤷‍♀️ skill issue” while Dylan is clearly having a moment with the prototype of his father’s coffin (the safe he died in)…

…only for the end of the movie to have Thaddeus reveal “oh yeah I was your dad’s friend, the rivalry was just for show, I kept it from you so I could make you a better magician” and Dylan just…accepts that?? And doesn’t bring up the wildly insensitive thing Thaddeus said before?? I fear I would never let that go if I were Dylan 😭

Henley saying she was pregnant when Danny tried to get her to do an upside down trick?? I need the hot gossip???

was she already with her husband? were she and Danny having a situationship and it was his? was it some rando? WHOOO

bc Now You See Me Two is like, a year to eighteen months after the events of the first one. I think they said she was six months pregnant when Danny was trying to do the trick.

like maybe I’m just delusional but I feel like it’s GOTTA be Danny’s cuz how did Henley manage to find a new man, end up pregnant with his baby, and quit the Horsemen in 18 months when they’re SUPPOSED to be in hiding??

like, it’s mathematically possible but feels super improbable. combined with the fact that in Now You Three Me, Henley makes it seem like she heard about Lula joining them onstage (before the kidnapping) was fresh off her leaving. But NYSM2 made it seem like it wasn’t, like, actually within days (“a day and the better half of an evening”)? Like it was recent enough that her absence was a sore subject and Dylan also had to track down Lula

which another thing ☝️ Danny being particularly so sore about Henley being gone always gave the vibe of “unreconciled feelings”, which could’ve just been he never opened up to her about wanting to try again. BUT Jack’s NYSM3 comment of “relax, you had your shot” makes me think the ‘shot’ in question wasn’t about the days when Henley was his assistant, but that they DID have something going on while they were in hiding, but Danny fumbled somehow

for the record: I LOVE NYSMNYD, even though it’s not perfect, I think it’s a really great edition to the franchise. But my girl Henley is really out here confusing me </3

(also loved her and Thaddeus but how are you gonna tell me that Merritt is shocked to see her like he hasn’t seen her in person since 2014, but she’s exceedingly aware that Thaddeus is on their side?? crying it makes no damn sense! compels me though)
