Hello fellow Hellenic polytheists!

Im very new to Hellenism, and theres one thing that im having a really hard time with. I come from monotheism, and one of the core beliefs that really grounds me is that i worship the creator of everything. Im still researching Hellenism, but it seems like there is no initial “creator”, but rather things just kind of popped into being.

How do yall conceptualize of the idea that the world fits so perfectly together, if it was not intentionally created? For example, who would be the deity over atoms or entropy or evolution??

I feel like ive seen a lot of in-fighting this week. So, i just wanted to say, if you are trans:

Im giving you a big hug (if you would like one, ofc). Im giving you a nice big bowl of your favorite soup, and Im sending some snuggly plushies your way. Youre loved, and Im so glad youre here. Its tough sometimes, and its ok to just use the block button and go outside. Ofc we all need to do self-reflection and improvement, but its ok to step away from everything for a bit. Just remember, there are so many people in the world who love you, want to listen to you, and who are fighting for you.

Any helpols here that dont do divination?? Im a very new helpol and ive tried divination multiple times, and im afraid its not for me.

But it seems like divination is such a big way to connect with the gods in the helpol community, so im not sure…..

Hello!

I wanted to reach out onto tumblr to see if anyone has advice or similar experiences to me!

I am a trans man (havent transitioned but plan to), and i keep wanting to veil, but i am not sure how: i want to totally veil my whole body— similar to a burqa— but i havent chosen a religion yet and i dont want to cultural appropriate anything.

While i would dress modestly in the meantime, most clothes that have “shape” make me dysphoric, and i dont get a big sense of spirituality/safety when i cover only part of my head/face (like when wearing a hat or bandana).

Any thoughts?? :)

Another beginner helpol question—

Do you have to worship all of the “Big 12”?

From my initial research, it seems like “the Big 12” were often worshipped across Greece, but each city/area/time period had favorite deities, different syncretism, etc.

Do you all feel its important to worship all 12, even if just a little bit?

Advice for a new pagan and witch??

Hi there! Ive started to dabble in witchcraft, and im interested in paganism (specifically, deity worship). But as i did research on various deities, i got a little overwhelmed, not knowing who i should start worshipping first.

So, i decided to ask the universe/deities to send me some signals in my dreams for the next three days to help me see which deities might be a good fit for me.

While i did record what i remembered from each dream, on the second day, i saw a huge rainbow irl (something i havent seen in probably over a year), and it felt like a sign.

But now i dont know if it is?? Since i specifically asked for signs in my dreams?? After the rainbow, i kinda added that they can send me signals while i was awake, too, for the rest of the three days. But there was only one thing that maybe was a signal, but didnt feel as strong.

I guess i just dont know how to read signals?? Should i go based on my dreams only, or the rainbow, or both??
