Hi, I need some help and was hoping you could help me.

I think i might be transmasc.

I am genderfluid, but I've realised i more comfortable when I'm masculine. I've also realized I feel more gender dysphoria when I'm in a shopping center and see men's clothes and when I wear dresses and skirts. I still sometimes wear dresses and skirts, but that's because I don't own any men's clothes...

What im trying to ask is, what are the specific signs that you might be transmasc?

I used to identify as bigender until i realized i was happier just being a man. So i think its a good start to just see what makes u happier!!!

Signs can be different for every person— you can think about what makes u happy, what makes you unhappy, thinking about your past, thinking about your future, etc. You can think about pronouns, clothing, mannerisms, voice, etc. It can also be helpful to think about how you are viewed— how would u like friends/family/strangers to gender you? Is it the same/different?

I know this is all very vague, but its because theres no correct way to be transmasc! :)

I know that can be frustrating when youre looking for answers (at least it was for me), but trying to identify “signs” that i was trans fed into my OCD. And the best way i find to prevent this is just focusing about what makes me happy in the moment (even if it changes constantly!), instead of looking for “signs”.

I have massive fuck off tits and can't wear a traditional binder because I'm not physically able to put them on or take them off (love being physically disabled and my body falling apart) do you have any recommendations of SAFE accessible binders because as much as I would like to get a zip up binder I would rather not fuck up my body more and I know those things are bad for you

Im also not able to wear a binder or tape for medical reasons, and the thing i found works best for me is wearing a stiff leather vest, unbuttoned. I found mine at goodwill. Its not perfect, but it helps hide curves a little.

Honestly, finding one like that is hard to find, and new vests are expensive. But, vests are relatively simple to sew:

There’s only three sections; just be sure to leave a bit around the edges so u can fold them over and sew to have a clean edge. And leave a bit extra to sew each peice together.

If you dont want to free-hand it, you can buy a vest at the store (leave on the tags) and trace each three sections on paper, then return the vest (since they can be expensive).

As for fabric, ive used a thicker tablecloth from goodwill and an unused painters’ canvas drop cloth (like the pic below). Drop cloth is expensive brand-new (i found mine for $5 at goodwill tho), but this is the kind of stiff fabric that would help.

I feel like ive seen a lot of in-fighting this week. So, i just wanted to say, if you are trans:

Im giving you a big hug (if you would like one, ofc). Im giving you a nice big bowl of your favorite soup, and Im sending some snuggly plushies your way. Youre loved, and Im so glad youre here. Its tough sometimes, and its ok to just use the block button and go outside. Ofc we all need to do self-reflection and improvement, but its ok to step away from everything for a bit. Just remember, there are so many people in the world who love you, want to listen to you, and who are fighting for you.
