This kin tricky, because it has multiple shifts it can put me in. It's really just divided between "pre-peeled" and "peeled." The former is usually melancholy but optimistic, and very much missing Lillian and Miss Mary. And then there's remorseless skeleton mode, which is high energy and missing the endless whispers of my lovely hat and cloak. At the moment, I appear to be in between the two! Which is weird! I think I should have gotten into taxidermy back then. Would have loved it. Animal skins were less fun to talk to, though. Either way. A good day to all who bothered to read this :-)

People usually misinterpret why I acted the way I did about the whole skinning people thing, especially with the Tarantulas. Simply put, it wasn't a fear born from being made to do something you didn't want to, but of enjoying something that you know is twisted and vile. I knew that it was disgusting and alarming and wrong. So I was quiet and flighty. There won't be a problem if I simply never do it again. And then I did it again. And again. And it was a problem. That's why I left. To try and fix myself without hurting the crew. Obviously, that hadn't worked in the slightest. And while I was gone, the ship went up in flames. I'd run into Mary not too long after. We talked. Met an understanding. We were both broken beyond repair, always bound to instability, to ruin everything good that would come to us. No point running from it, we thought. We never saw each other again, but I still feel that solidarity. I still think of her fondly. I hope she's happy, wherever she is now.

to the anon talking ab kin languages: HELL YES. FELT THAT. I miss being able to speak abyssal, mostly just because it sounds like literal hell noises. It was also my ✨mother tongue✨ tho so just being able to make those sounds again would be cool. Dont miss my time at home but I definitely miss the culture. Wonderful cuisine and a lovely giant cat that doesn't like when I need to get up. Ma'am I have things to do, cuddling with you is second priority
