Taking a deep breath, Dorian knocked on Thalia’s door. Two months ago he had left without a word. He hadn’t return any phone calls or texts. He wasn’t trying to be rude or ice anyone out – Dorian would never do such a thing. His father had died and Dorian didn’t know how to cope. He and his dad never got along. He found his father’s ways unfair and dirty. The two hadn’t even been on speaking terms when Dorian moved to Red Creek, but he was still Dorian’s father and family meant something to him. So he immersed himself in funeral preparations to take the burden off his mother. He stayed with his mother for a while, seeing how upset she was about losing her husband. Now he was back and had to fix the damage he left in his wake – starting with Thalia.
