“SUICIDE FIESTA”
by Black Light King and Thanksone
Electromagnetism is “one of the four fundamental forces of the universe” says master of 3D black light art, Black Light King. The Los Angeles graffiti artist paints both large outdoor pieces and a large number of smaller studio works as well as Black Light Kingdom installations for special events, all designed to keep his work alive and vibrant by challenging intuition with work that changes with the light spectrum. In May, 2017 he collaborated with Thanksone to paint this wall on Alameda on the edge of the LA Arts District. In 2015 the two participated in the “On the Wall” exhibit in the Huntington Beach Art Center where Thanksone, who calls himself the original West Coast Graffiti Chopper described his style to FoxLA: “basically what I do is I chop down letters, words, images into many little pieces kind of like a rap song.” @blacklightking @thanksone
