It’s almost Sep 18. You know what that means… it’s almost Cas day!
Since this is the last time we get to celebrate this character while the show’s on air, I just want to share… Castiel is a character that I have found comfort and solace in through and through in my life. Since Dec 2012, I’ve had this character to lean on, all the way through high school, college, and now into adulthood. We all cling to something in lonely or tumultuous times, and this character was that for me.
I think so many of us relate to this character because his story is fundamentally about growing up—striking off on your own, learning to face consequences of your own actions. It’s about navigating a scary, often unforgiving world and the even more challenging struggle of remaining good at the end of it all. Castiel is the kind of person I’ll always aspire to be.
