I tried drawing my idea of what a Thargoid Mothership might look like. The first one has more of the 'traditional' Thargoid look, almost kind of like a flower. I tried making the canopy/bridge/heart similar to something closer to royalty, since Thargoids are an all female race, similar to a queen/matriarch. Intricate designs designate the status of the ship. Fighters on the top right are typical fighter sized (roughly the size of an F16 at its smallest). They're this small mainly due to the fact that you could scavenge the dormant ships once the Mothership was killed in the original Elite. The size of this Mothership is 6km (slightly bigger than an Orbis station). The second concept has more of a base-feeling rather than a ship, itself. I remember one of the journalists during Gamescom describing the alien ships similar to Cylon Basestars. Although unfinished in the drawing, trying to show the 'middle workings' would have been hard to view, and cluttered, so you can only imagine either 'wings' or any sort of stabilizing limbs stretching out from the middle. The size of this Mothership is 8km (twice the size of an Orbis station).
