I have a theory...

I might be reading too deep into this... But, I've noticed something about a lot of these Origami King fans ( myself included). Is that, along with their interest in Origami King, there's usually some Kirby related stuff on the side... Again, I'll admit, as you saw in one of my posts here, I guess I'm a contributor to that. But so are you! (You know who you are...) 

So, what I'm trying to say is... This is all foreshadowing something... I just know it! And I'm going to say it right now!

Someone is going to be writing a Kirby X Paper Mario the Origami King crossover fanfic in the future! Maybe even a few! I've got a strong feeling about that!  All the signs are there! Heck, I've even seen a few crossover fanarts! I'll admit, not many, but they exist! So, if those stories do come out... You bet I'm going to read it/them!

“This is no place to take a nap.” 

For all intents and purposes, it wouldn’t have mattered if this was a good place for a nap or not. Reno was falling in and out of consciousness. He was struggling to stay awake to the best of his ability, but it was becoming increasingly difficult. The good news was they were safe. The bad news was, as always, Reno had gotten some kind of injury to ensure Rufus remained unharmed. One such injury had been a head wound. 

Blood had oozed its way down the side of his face and made it harder to focus out of one eye. He was leaning against one of the sides of the truck they had hicked a ride in, trusting that Rude knew where he was going. He took a deep breath and tried to say something back to his boss, but he wasn’t sure if the man heard him. Hell, he wasn’t even sure if he had said anything. Because he’d thought he’d said something akin to, ‘Don’t worry, I’m fine.’

Next thing he knew the uninjured side of his face felt like it had been slammed into something. Realistically, all Rufus had done was slap him. Their faces were barely inches apart, partially due to the jostling of the truck. Then the words,  “This is no place to take a nap, Reno.” were repeated back to him. It might have seemed harsh, but if Reno had a concussion, Rufus was actually trying to save his life.

While it normally would have been okay for Reno to sleep, who knows what conflicting effects it might have had on him with his other injuries. The redhead blinked at him a couple times, trying to focus. His words were slightly slurred, and the ringing in his ears was becoming rather annoying. He wasn’t sure how long they were in the back of the truck, and he couldn’t really remember anything that happened after he passed out for the final time. 

What he did know though he had woken up decorated in bandages as per usual. Oh, and there was a giant card nearby that said, “Get Well Soon Reno” with a bunch of little messages on it. He had to wonder how much longer he was going to be getting cards like that before everyone just came in here to beat him for getting hurt again.
