HELLO. do you guys have any AU preferences?
Does this help?
He was seventeen years old when his big brother gave him his first beer. He was about to be left behind while his family went hunting some mayhem a few states over, but for once, everything was at peace.
He was seventeen years old when he took that first sip of beer on the hood of his big brother's car, all sleek black metal and leather seats, striking the hearts of all who stared upon her frame. It was barely springtime, sunshine peaking out from behind budding trees and newborn chicks chirping in their nests.
He was seventeen years old when the sun hit his big brother's face as he smiled at him, fingers brushing his knee and setting off hormones he didn't even know he had.
He was seventeen years old when he realized his big brother was beautiful and nearly fell in love.
He was seventeen years old when he shut down those green eyes and ran away.
IF YOU'RE HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME RIGHT NOW, READ THIS.
Hello there, darling. Now you might be a little down, or in a lot of pain, of struggling to go on --no matter how bad things are, there are always people who are willing to reach out and help. For all of the fuckers who broke your hearts and scarred your soul, there are people who'll glue the broken pieces back together, and massage away the pain.
Where there's darkness, there's hope, and that's something that's really hard to see, believe me, I know, I've been there myself and everything seems dire, and pointless, and you ask yourself 'why am I still here? Why am I still choosing to live this life?' And it might be difficult to see an answer to that question, but give it time, sleep on it, phone your family and friends, remind yourself why you're here, what you fight for.
We're all soldiers, and as cheesy as it sounds, life is just one big battleground, and sure there are injuries and casualties, but we keep fighting, we fight for those who can't, for those we love, to prove all of those who would rather bury you underground rather than help you stand on it wrong.
Show them who you are and what you fight for.
Show yourself what you fight for.
And if you don't think you have anything, find something. There's always an extended hand around the corner to carry you when you need a rest from the battleground, and they'll help you fight.
I'll help you fight.
Because I think you're worth fighting for, so you should too.
So just remember that if life gets too much, if it feels like it's you against an army of dicks and problems remember that you have people in your corner, people who will fight for you. People who believe in you wholeheartedly.
People who know what you're really worth.
Listen to those people.
Stay strong, and hold on to hope. Because it's just around the corner.
The intrusion is actually quite childish. "Sam--did you eat your wheaties this morning?" But the way emeralds bore into the others oasis-like irises, he's actually being serious.
Sam had been asleep, perhaps for longer than he had ever slept in one stint, but the soft, familiar tones in his brother's voice was enough to wake him. Even like he was, the younger Winchester was a light sleeper --he was a hunter, after all. Pain racked his tortured body as he sat up and wiped a hand down his tired, almost skeletal face.
"Bite me." He replied in a quiet, snarky tone before swinging his legs around the side of the bed and very slowly rising to his feet.
Sam stumbled towards his laptop; perhaps a force of habit, but moreso because he just wanted to work. To 'sort it out like they always did'. That's what Dean said they'd do, right?
"Any news?"
