Gotta say, that did cross my mind when I moved back to NYC this summer. I won't tempt the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing by saying it'll be fine for myriad reasons, but thank god TWW exists. I squeeze it tight every presidential election season.

seriously. and the amount of political issues that continue to be relevant/unresolved always frightens me.

If Drumpf wins, I have the same plan. I've also daydreamed about my own Perthshire cottage.

I would have until Brexit. now I’ve concluded that the US is the safest place to be (specifically on the same coast as NY, which is where he spawned) bc it’s the least likely place that he’ll nuke.

It’s horrible.  I had been avoiding it (I’m living with my parents right now, so I’m not on any actual deadline) but it’s my new form of procrastination/I want to be out before the new semester starts and it’s horrible.  One of the “looking for roommates” I saw asked that the roommate would be okay with their THIRTEEN SNAKES

2. Favorite piece overall?

Hm, it’s kind of hard because I start out writing, reading and rereading, then I post it and think, “okay, I like this!” And then ten minutes later I hate it. Soooo ya know, haha. 

I should say the self-insert epic X-Files fanfic I wrote when I was like 14! Mulder and Scully were basically my adoptive parents! I MEAN. But other than super old XF fic, of my recent fitzsimmons fics I’d say maybe “two truths & a lie” even though it’s by far the fic people like the least, lol. But it feels like my most honest one. It kind of came to me because my grandfather was very sick (he since passed away last week), and I started thinking a lot about how of all the horrible things that can happen, my grandparents really got the best case scenario: 59 amazing years together. And yet, one person still dies and leaves the other here. And then I thought a lot about my husband and myself, and that really upsets me. You make yourself vulnerable and there’s so much that is positive about that, but you’re going to be so heartbroken, and that scares me. I want more than anything for fitzsimmons to be happy forever and safe and have a wonderful, full life, but eventually... Anyway, that’s where that came from! Super not trying to bring people down! Haha. Er, I also enjoyed writing pre-Bus era FS and kind of continuing on with themes!   

I also like “starting over” - it was the first fanfic I’d written in 10ish years, and I thought it was the only one I had in me. I still think it’s my best one, which is a little depressing but maybe I’ll grow as a writer eventually. :)

10. Favorite line or lines of dialogue that you've written

Both from “starting over”:

“Fitz,” she starts, and it’s a whisper, and she thinks about the fact that everyone calls him Fitz, everyone is allowed to use her favorite word and that seems so strange, suddenly. (I love love love the idea of “Fitz” being her favorite word and just like the idea of her suddenly feeling almost protective of his name.)

“But when she kisses him, she’s giving him back his final breath and she’s saving them both. When she curls up to his side and he wraps his arms around her and his hand barely trembles, she’s finally surfacing.”

2. Favorite piece overall?

Tie between By Design and The Project. By Design because it was incredibly fun to write, and The Project because the whole idea was bonkers and I’m weirdly happy with how goofy the concept was.

9. Favorite character to write?

FITZ. :) I love Jemma too, but I could write from Fitz POV all day long.

Shoutout to those lovely individuals that not only took the time to read that tag vomit post last night, but also liked or responded to let me know I’m not alone in my thoughts. Part of this fandom can be irritating/anxiety-inducing at times, but for the most part it’s a very uplifting and supportive place to be. Hugs to you all. <3
