River had been getting changed and ready for her date with the Doctor. She wasn't sure where exactly they were going but he had promised her dancing and wine. And who could turn that down? Curls as manageable as possible, some makeup on and that forest green dress on, she was ready.

Hearing a knock on the front door of her flat, she hurried to it, heels clicking against the hardwood floor. "Sweetie? Is that you?" River opened the door with a smile but that expression changed drastically when she saw who stood on her stone steps. She felt like she knew the face she was looking at but the more she tried to place it, the more the thought evaded her. "Can I help you?"

Amy sighed as she was forced to throw yet another meal in the garbage. Even since landing in the thirties, she'd been trying to get better at cooking. She knew she'd never be the perfect housewife type. She'd definitely be leading up local women's rights actions when the time came, but even so she figured she should at least try to learn how to cook. After all, that was a large topic of conversation between her peers, and she felt so out of touch she thought this would be a good way to connect. She was about to look for another recipe when suddenly the doorbell rang. Sprinting over, she threw the door open with a smile on her face. "Oh...hello! Um...this is interesting...do you need help with something?"
