there's a pause given as john paul regards her , then turns his head away to look toward one of the chapel windows. there's a shadow that passes by , flying southbound. he does not flinch , even if the shadow is far too large to be any bird or bat. a quiet hum passes before he offers a comforting little smile to the redhead before him. ❛   a storm is coming , i think ... tends to upset the wildlife around here. they always hitch it back up towards the mainland. better survival skills than we have , huh ? ❜

                   ˜”*°•.     Confusion  crept  into  his  face  for  a  second  too  long .  It  was  her  birthday,  did  she  really  think   he’d  have  prepared  nothing ?  It  was  a  day  he’d  been  planning  for  weeks,  well,  months  now .  Every  single  piece  of  decoration  well-organized .  He  opened  the  door ;  a  cascade  of  confetti  bursting  from  the  ceiling,  fluttering  down  in  colorful  steams .  Balloons  were  in  every  corner,  while  a  huge  Happy-Birthday  banner  hang  on  the  wall .

❝ Happy  Birthday!  ❞   Echoed  the  words  in  a  sing-song  way ,  arms  wide  spread as  he  invited  her  into  the  room.

his face rested against the palm of his hand, elbow slowly sliding more and more down the table as time passed by. the textbook page that is staring back at his distracted gaze tauntingly is the same one as twenty-five minutes ago, leg bouncing inattentively under the table in energy that was begging to be released. the library is nearly empty, only a few people sat around at various tables, which is not surprising considering it is nine am on a freaking saturday! amber gaze flickers over at lydia, who looks much more enthralled by the chemistry textbook than he does, huffing out a frustrated breath and allowing his forehead to drop on the pages dramatically. ❝ i cannot believe that i let you talk me into this shit. it's saturday, i should be sleeping. ❞
