Jordan threw open the door to Derek’s-now-Alistair’s loft with gusto. He’d been working non-stop since Pestilence arrived and he was so stressed it took him three tries to put his pants on the right way. But it was date night. And they were planning on staying in. And that meant a lot of things to Jordan. So if he was meticulously shaved and showered and wearing all new clean everything, including some decorative boxers, then well, that was a coincidence. He was honestly looking forward to the peace bubble that usually surrounded Alistair. Really. Except... when he walked inside, something felt very off and the smile he had plastered to his face faded. “Ali? You okay...?”
