Btw, you should watch critical role tonight! Travis is GM'ing for the first time!

I think he said he rolled 6d100 to make it faster.
I thought I hear him say that too, I couldn’t remember. But there’s technically a limit, in the DMG and the PHB, that caps the amount of damage at 20d6 (or I guess 6d20 if DM’s being lazy). So, technically, regardless of distance, the most damage a player should/could sustain from a fall is 120hp. That said, if it’s 1d6 per 10 feet (which is also a rule) I think that’s a silly rule. Especially with higher level characters, who regularly put themselves in positions where they’re more than 200ft above the ground with the potential to fall. If you put yourself in that scenario (falling 1,000 ft) you shouldn’t get to only suffer damage of a fall 1/5th as high. That said, I’m still happy Keyleth tried it, because it would’ve been great if she had succeeded and/or just went bird instead of goldfish at the last second, and also very happy that Vex was right there with a revivify coin.
Basically, tl;dr Matt Handled that situation fine, Keyleth did a silly thing, but it was awesome, and people should stop being such “your fun is wrong”ers. If you don’t like the game they play, go start your own.
Nobody gets to dit down with Vilya. She burned her own soul. There is nobody waiting for Keyleth.
I don’t know what you mean by burned her soul? I’m fairly certain dying in another plane of existence doesn’t impede entry to whatever afterlife exists for individuals in Exandria, given Vax’s successful rez post-kraken death
though she could have Jonah and the whale’d it and is just chillin’ in the belly of the kraken for now which would be. a thing

NO.
I never said they did anything wrong. The 20d6 cap is particularly dumb when you realise that Grog could literally fall from space and live :P
Yeah, no, I was just venting about other people complaining about it, sorry if it seemed like it was directed at you, it really wasn’t. You seem like a really cool person.
