MISCELLANEOUS QUESTIONS.
LIKES & DISLIKES
1. What hobbies do you have?
Cookin', bakin', listenin' and playin' music, wanderin' around, bein' with friends and/or Lyall.
2. Who is your closest friend? Describe them and how you relate to them.
Samara, I think. She's th' best, honestly, always great company t' be 'round. I dunno where t' start, but I guess I can say that we both just have lots o' th' same tastes in things, like music and lovin' t' bake, and goodness knows what can happen with our sense of humors, ha.
3. What’s been your favorite movie of all time?
I really do love all classic Disney films, like Snow White and Alice In Wonderland. I'm none too afraid t' belt out Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella or Sound of Music either, I'll tell ya right now.
4. Read any good books? What were they?
I'm never gonna forget Harry Potter, if'n that's what ya mean. I swear t' ya, I'm raisin' me children so they know th' greatness o' th' series. I was also a fan of th' Magic Treehouse books and th' Giver trilogy.
5. What would be the perfect gift for you?
Just spendin' time with me'll do th' trick, but I do love a song or two if'n ya can manage that.
6. What time of day is your favorite?
Th' daytime, 'specially the lazier afternoons where there's both nothin' and everythin' a person can do.
7. Do you have any pets? Do you want any pets? What kind?
Yeah, I got a pet - I guess I now have t' say adolescent, huh? - wolf named Lyall. Means "loyal" in Gaelic.
8. What do you find most relaxing?
Strummin' me guitar, singin'. Not exactly a song or somethin', just whatever comes t' mind.
9. What don’t you like about yourself?
Th' scars on me arms. It's why I'm always wearin' long sleeves.
SEX & INTIMACY
1. Would you consider yourself straight, gay, bi, or something else? Why?
Straight. Never felt that kinda thing towards a guy, and I don't think that's happenin' anytime soon...
2. Who was the first person you had sex with? When did it happen? What was it like? How well did it go?
Um... Never... Had sex, so... Yeah.
3. What is your deepest, most well-hidden sexual fantasy? Would you ever try it?
Those actually occur t' people?
4. What was the wildest thing you’ve ever done, sexually? Who was it with and when did it happen?
Let's all return t' question two, shall we?
5. Do you currently have a lover? What is their name, and what is your relationship like? What are they like? Why are you attracted to them?
This is th' most awkward section ever...
6. Do you ever want to get married and have children? When do you see this happening?
Scary as me parents' past is as far as romance and things go, I'd love t' someday get married and have kids. Maybe not anytime soon, per se, but in time when things are right.
7. What is more important - sex or intimacy? Why?
Ah, yet another I can actually answer. Intimacy all th' way. Havin' a relationship, a connection t' th' person ya love's th' most important bit. If'n I could go on without th' need fer sex t' have children and such, I would... Cuddlin's better anyway, far as I heard.
8. What was your most recent relationship like? Who was it with?
And th' awkward "forever single" feelin' has come back.
9. What’s the worst thing you've done to someone you loved?
Not so much someone I've loved rather than trusted, as it's me dad because at this point I'm gonna just modify th' question so I can answer it - not bein' who they wanted me t' be.
DRUGS & ALCOHOL
1. How old were you when you first got drunk? What was the experience like?
I was eighteen, just recently turned and on me first year o' runnin', didn't really wanna try it but I was pressured and I sorta caved... I got t' learn I'm super-lightweight? Guess it's true when me grandmum said that nature fae are really sensitive, emotionally and chemically.
2. Did anything good come out of it? Did anything bad come out of it?
I'm not too sure, kinda can't remember that night. But least I made it t' me place back safely, and it doesn't seem like anythin' earth-shatterin' happened back there, far as I know.
3. Do you drink on any kind of regular basis?
Nope. Prefer keepin' alcohol as far away from me as possible.
4. What kind of alcohol do you prefer?
None, none at all. Water'll be fine.
5. Have you ever tried any other kind of “mood altering” substance? Which one(s)? What did you think of each?
Nope, not gonna even touch th' stuff.
6. What do you think of drugs and alcohol? Are there any people should not do? Why or why not?
All I know is that both are very, very bad fer me. I'd like t' make sure I don't do it, period. Anybody else is free to, even though I don't recommend it at all.
MORALITY QUESTIONS
1. Have you ever been in a physical fight before? Over what, with who, and who won?
I wouldn't say I've been in a fight moreso that I've been b-beaten... Over a lotta things, w-with me dad. He always escaped without a scratch, so I'd s-say he won... ?
2. What do you feel most strongly about?
Abuse t' any person o-or animal, and h-how nobody should suffer from it.
3. What do you pretend to feel strongly about, just to impress people?
N-nothin'. If'n I feel somethin' fer an issue, I mean it.
4. What trait do you find most admirable, and how often do you find it?
Th' ability t' stand up fer yerself, which seems t' happen a bit around me, though it's certainly not enough.
5. What’s the worst thing that can be done to another person? Why?
T' have them hurt by someone they most love b-because that kinda pain takes th' deepest tolls on their well-bein'.
6. What’s the worst thing you could actually do to someone you hated?
Hurt them. I'd never h-have it in me, even if I hated them.
7. Are you a better leader or follower? Why do you think that?
I guess follower? I m-mean, I don't look much like a leader, y'know?
8. Do you think redemption is possible?
It's possible, but it's rarely done right.
9. Is it okay for you to cry? When was the last time you cried?
All me life, I was told it wasn't by both me dad, me uncles and various other male figures I knew 'long with all th' other boys on th' playground - it's just somethin' yer raised with as a guy. Yet I d-did cry sometimes anyway. Last I did, I think w-was when I saw me aunt...
[OOC: There was a small break before Nicolai could finish the questions due to his fragile state after this section was finished.]
POST-SUPERNATURAL AWARENESS
1. When did you go through whatever made you supernatural? What was it like?
Uh, I think I started realizin' me powers back when I was ten? Bit premature as far as fae go, but me grandmum told me I was better off anyway since I'd get more years of experience in th' end. Th' day I realized me scars were more than that, me dad was about t' hit me with a newspaper when I teleported from that one spot t' the other end o' th' room at th' doorway. Boltin' off runnin' t' me room was me first instinct.
2. What do you think now of being supernatural? Is it cool, or have you been screwed?
It has it's ups and downs. I'm good at what I do, but I was told I'll never be up t' snuff against a full-blooded faerie which is kinda sad - I like me powers, and bein' an urban dryad o' sorts, even if it's secret.
3. Do you have a mentor/someone that taught you what you know? Who are they? How did you become their student?
Me grandmum. It was only natural that she taught me bein' that she was th' only other faerie I've ever known since she taught me mum before her and has been carryin' all th' books o' magicks; th' ones known t' th' world through human witches and warlocks, th' works of faes from thousands o' years before via sigils and runes, and stuff discovered by us Emryses through use of a mixture o' both cultures. Even when I decided t' run, it was her that helped me make me escape by usin' magic so I'd never be tracked fer th' first week or so.
4. Do you have any magical items? Where did you get them?
Actually, she left me a couple o' books, one on herbal remedies and potion-making, and th' Emrys family spellbook. I'd never gotten th' time t' look at magick or runes or anythin' since I'd never found any, but I'm th' best ye can get when it comes t' modern herbology.
5. Think of a major event that happened during your training/initiation. What was it?
When I was first startin' out, I found a golden retriever that got run over by a passerby car and was lyin' on th' street, bleedin' t' death. It was then and there that me grandmum took me aside and first taught me how t' heal. All I could remember from that moment was the soft whines of th' dog's voice in me head and th' warmth spillin' from me hands as we both mended him... She kept him though. His name's Lucky. Wish I could still visit him, but at least I have Lyall now to provide equal comfort.
6. What is something you had to learn during your training that you hated? Why did you hate it?
Th' fact that us fae, as a race, are meant t' keep th' balance rather than be necessarily good or evil. We have t' let some things pass and keep ourselves in check in case we become "too good", which I still don't get nor like.
