@sweet-samara
"I've really lost my muse and it sucks."
"Enough with the festivities,"Ā Ā
āā- I need a scotch.ā
"Well not to worry! The Christmas season is no longer upon us and you have another year from now before you have to deal the festivities involved again. "
I donāt believe we have but Iām always happy to meet a guilty Bieber singer. Iām Veronica.
Likewise! Which is why it breaks my heart that he'sĀ retired so soon.Ā I'm pleased to meet you, Veronica. I'm Samara.
"and -- Gotcha!"
With you-uu, shawty with you. With you-uu, shawty with you. It appears youāve began to sing my guilty pleasure.
With you under the mistletoe. What a coincidence! It happens to be mine too, and my go-to carolling song for this year. Have we met?
"Iām going to have to stop you right there.. Iāve heard more than enough carollers for a lifetime and ā - I long for the day they stop singing like dying cats. ā
"With you, shawty with you. With you, shawty with you. With you under the mistletoe,"
"There's no better time for it, Lydia. How has the Christmas season not grown on you yet? It's so magical."
Itās the most beautiful time of the year Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer I should be playing in the winter snow But Iāmma be under the mistletoe.
Well thatās always good! You seem a lot happier than you did before. And Iāve been doing good! Just the usually things like decorating, hanging out with my girlfriend, eating copious amounts of food.
Why! I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm always chipper! 'That's what I like to hear. So you're all prepared for Christmas than? Which now,Ā is approximately three days, twenty two hours and twenty eight minutes away? not that Iām keeping track or anythingā¦
Ā Everyone in this town seems to be..or maybe itās just me who isnāt really with a big Christmas spirit lately..anyways, do you have all the gifts?
Well, that's understandable given the circumstances.. Any uh.. word from your mother yet, Sof? Well of course! I always get my Christmas shopping done early. AsĀ big on the spirit as I am, I don't particularly enjoy Christmas Eve shopping. I tried it once and the whole... being crushed by other shoppers, wasn't.. pleasant. What about you? All ready for Christmas?
Thatās probably the most interesting thing Iāve heard today, but glad youāre in a good mood! Itās been awhile since Iāve talked to you Samara!
In that case, I'm pleased to hear that I keep your day interesting. I think it's the Christmas season. The snow, lights and carols have a way of making me particularly cheery. It has been awhile! How have you been during this most wonderful time of the year?
Too much Christmas desserts already?
Perhaps... I've indulged in more than just gingerbread or maybe, I'm just hyped about Christmas.
I feel weird, like a happy weird, like a āIām going to go get a Starbucks and take on the world weirdā - you know?
"If I keep that positive mindset then Iām sure Iāll eventually find the perfect one for me,Ā Mara. So⦠what about you? How are your Christmas preparations going?"
"It feels like a white Christmas this year, with that in mind, my preparations are well under way.Ā Did you know it's exactly thirteen days, twenty two hours and four minutes until Christmas? Just thought you'd like to know, not that I'm keeping track or anything..."
"Thatās a great question! I donāt know⦠but I think Iāll go with the real tree option since itāll give it a more homey feeling, right? Or at least.. Thatās what I hear."
"The tree farm is always a good place to start. Theyāve got all different kinds and sizes at the tree farm! Iām sure youāll find the perfect one! It's wonderful to see you getting into the Christmas spirit, Caspian."
āDecember starts today,"
"W-well, I mean, I have. Just n-not fer a long time. Been always travelinā and things since I left home and⦠Yāknow. Even then, nothinā too flashy but always grand. Perks oā big famālies and sorta-kinda havinā a birthday so close tā it - cominā fer cake, stayinā fer eggnog." He let himself reveal the fond smile that brightened his features. Chuckling at her remark, Nicolai could feel his hand reach for his otherās elbow shyly. "Yeah⦠Actually, I do regular eveninā gigs at SeaSky as of recent. If y-ya ever wanna drop by, I mean. Iāll, uh, see ifān thereās somethinā I can do. Nothinā like spreadinā a wee bit oā cheer, after all."
"A simple Christmas is good too, since at the end of day it is about family.Ā I doĀ hope you aren't planning on working through Christmas thisĀ yearĀ though, Nico." Samara is incredulous, her smile faltering as she shifts her eyes to Nicolai. "I would be delighted to drop by.. but you know you don't have to pull strings for me, right?" Samara nods once, undeniably sincere.
