El trabajo de regulación y #modulación #mental tambien es util en casos "etiquetados" como " #THDA " #Transtorno de #Hiperactividad y #Deficit de #Atención. frente al cual por cierto me guardo mis criticas y posición al respecto.... Enseñar al individuo a regular sus #habilidades especiales y #relacionarse con el mundo a su estilo es muy util. #medicar es mas económico y requiere menos inversion de tiempo, pero debes saber que hay alternativas mas ecológicas y con un alto margen de exito. PM dad es el #modelo que usamos en este caso.

Large Grant for Homes for People with Disabilities

The Tennessee Housing Development Agency has given a grant for nearly $300,000 to Intunity.  The group previously known as the Housing Foundation of West Tennessee helps to build homes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Read more about the grant presentation (including an oversized novelty check!) at this link from WBBJ-TV.

THDA Grant Awarded for 8 Homes in Madison County

The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) has announced a $287,500 grant to help Intunity, formerly known as the Housing Foundation of West Tennessee (HFWT) acquire and renovate eight homes in Madison County for the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Intunity is in the process of identifying eight houses to purchase in separate locations throughout the county.  Each house will have three bedrooms and will become home to two or three individuals who qualify for the home and community-based services waiver program through DIDD.  To learn more about Intunity, visit their website at this link.
