Getting locked out of your house is pretty under-rated, really. The first time, I got to do an IRL puzzle platformer level with a bin and a tiny window, and this time I got to chill with my totally adorable upstairs neighbours and their elderly and ill but enthusiastic dog. I have been thinking of them as the Lesbian Dog Parents because they fit the picture to a tee, but it turns out the butch one is actually a trans guy. (Also a carpenter studying set design, and literally made himself a burger and then cut it in half and offered me half? Who is that nice???) The femmish one works in disability support admin and actually uttered unto me the sentence “So, tell me more about your genderqueer identity!” The doggo may or may not be epileptic and apparently harbours a futile yearning to eat my cat. It’s all kind of perfect. I’ve never had neighbours I like before!
