i love queerplatonic relationships where one of them is aroace and the other isn't. i love when the allo character has a crush that fades over time. i love when they don't care what they are to each other as long as they're together. i love when romance is an option that they don't choose. i love when both aros and allos feel fulfilled without romance or sex.
(Guy who has only read the manga of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and hasn't really watched Miyazaki's other movies) yeah I love the #ghibli aesthetic
#aesthetic #comfy vibes

Rest in peace Akihiro Miwa (1935-2026)
I haven't seen anyone talking about this and just wanted to make a quick post on here.
Akihiro Miwa recently passed away peacefully june 20th, and was not only a drag queen and a queer icon, but also the japanese voice of Arceus in the movie Arceus and the jewel of life, as well as the witch from Howl's moving castle and Moro from Princess Mononoke.
Rest in peace and thank you for the wonderfull impact you made in this world.
its always the tiny gay cowboy and his tiny gay roman boyfriend, never the bi cowboy and his bi cowboy/martial artist boyfriend. owen wilson didnât play a fruity western boy TWICE to be disrespected like thatÂ
no bc Iâm being serious! weâve been way too quiet about them for way too long!!!!!!
pls watch these (shanghai noon and shanghai knights) and give these romantic besties ur love! itâs literally a western romcom
valid valid valid valid
When you're a kid you just take trees for granted. Then when you get to be an adult you realize that a fully mature tree cannot be created in an amount of time that fits in a convenient landscaping timeframe for love nor money nor all the powers of science. Then you realize that people are very very very cavalier about chopping them down
People often say to me: âYou draw like some kind of inhuman machine. If I eat your brain, will I gain your power?â The answer is yes, but there is another way. The key to precise drawing is building up muscle memory so that your arm/hand/fingers do the things you want them to do when you want them to do them. Teaching yourself to draw a straight line or to make sweet curves is just a matter of practice and there are some exercises you can do to help improve. If youâre going to be doodling in class or during meetings anyway, why not put that time to good use?
me, stunted 12 year-old whose only representation of trans women had been ace ventura and jokes about shemale prostitutes, "well, i guess when i'm like, 40, and everyone i have any obligation to is dead, i can get a bunch of sex change surgeries and fuck gross men for money. but at least i'll kinda look like a girl."
real transfem representation really could've saved me a solid 15-20 years.
this feels particularly relevant with the global push to chase minors off social media. none of it is about protecting kids, it's about control. it's about cutting off vulnerable, marginalized, young people whose only opportunity to learn more about their own gender and sexuality--and find other people who are like them--is through social media platforms.
queer, particularly trans representation hasn't come all that far in 20 years. maybe there's less blatant transphobia, but there sure as hell isn't any widespread positive representation. we have multiple generations of trans women and men who were only able to explore their identities during adolescence in online spaces. and kids today are being stripped of that.
be wary of any legislation or changes in corporate policy that cites "protecting kids". it's never about protecting anyone, it's about control. there are a lot of parents that'd prefer to keep their kid in the closet 'til it kills them than watch them actually explore their identity.
Nonbinary as in stop speculating about its genitals and treat it like a whole person, stop feeling entitled to viewing it with blue or pink glasses on.
Nonbinary as in she is a fluid person and who he is and how they feel will shift and there is beauty in that.
Nonbinary as in the cradle you raised in him was made of barbed wire and he refused to stay a prisoner.
Nonbinary as in yellow stripe, where ve stands outside the binary and ve is standing strong against those who want to drag ver back in. Nonbinary as in white stripe, where she/he has multiple genders, maybe even seemingly contradictory ones, and shoving him/her into one box is a denial of half or more of them. Nonbinary as in purple stripe, they're kind of both pink and blue, but also kinda neither, they are what they are. Nonbinary as in black stripe, a- without- nul-, neutral, regardless of the binary, gender is a non factor and it's kinda exhausting that some people insist that it is.
Nonbinary as in staying closeted because there is no place for us in a binary world, and nonbinary as in picking up the hammer and nails and building it ourselves.
Hand us a multiple choice test with two options, boy or girl, but we scratch it out and write in our own, giving thousands of answers to an A or B question. Someone asked for a yes or no, but inside us there is an essay barely contained by our ribcage.
Nonbinary as in people are complicated, not just us, and we have to make space inside us to build respect for that, and not demand people simplify themselves for our own comfort.
Does that make sense?
Nonbinary as in questioning, unsure, or experimenting with something. Nonbinary as in even if it was just a phase, you still passed through our town on your gender journey and I'm glad you did. Your destination does not devalue the journey you've been on.
What does nonbinary mean to you?
What will it mean for you?
What has it meant for you?
It's pride month so I'll allow myself to express one opinion on the internet :
There are no "exact color" of pride flags.
I see more and more sites and posts talking about the exact hex codes for the lesbian flag, or the right purple for the ace one, and how it should be more or less saturated and I just want to say: pride flags were meant to be sewn in your kitchen. To be spraypainted and to be recognised.
There are no "exact colors" of pride flags because you should do them with what you have ! Nobody should care if you use a crimson red instead of a cherry red or whatever ! Be free ! wave your colors ! The colors you have !
Sometimes i save little gems and forget about them
For those who want the pic
i spent longer than i care to admit on this
"You know what's harder than Getting Better? Living Like That" is just the thesis for my whole shit going on right now honestly. You know what's harder than doing my physical therapy? Hurting All The Time. You know what's harder than addressing my gender dysphoria? Hurting All The Time
I'm Doing The Hard Thing and it's *easier* than how I was living before. If you make yourself feel better you will have more energy to spend on Getting Better. Nice inch nails - the upward spiral. Crawl out of your grave Thursday
