🪦 RIP ⚰️
Farewell sweet princess! RIP
Before releasing the BHeast into the wild I decided to polish the turd with $20 1" fender flares, 5mm wheel spacers (spare/extra parts) and a $20 flat black rattle can paint job. A little bit of farewell love.
04 Outback's turn to get the STI key (& OEM keychain) since I love this key in the 98 LGT.
Very heavy duty and little chance of me braking it off in the ignition or lock. Feels awesome in your hand, very different than the original stock versions. Worth the extra bucks!
Gentex auto dimming mirror w/compass installed in the 04 Subaru Outback.
Very easy upgrade! This model had one as an option but it's kinda ugly. The newer Gentex version looks better, is slightly larger and has the compass icons in amber vs green or blue. You can also see more than the stock mirror. Should've done this way sooner, lol.
Stock manual mirror vs Gentex upgrade.
Wiring is very simple! The OEM option mirror plugs into this empty connector (red) on the backside of the map light. Easy plug'n'play upgrade if your curious!
I wired the 2 Gentex wires (white) to the power and ground for that connector.
Took maybe 20-30 min tops to do this mod! Just make sure you get the right mirror that matches the mirror mount bracket on the windshield. Mine had a screw/wedge mount but some have a twisting camlock style.
I H8 people! Someone used the fender/tire for a jumping ramp then drove off. No wonder I don't pay for an expensive paint job. Time to hack all the fenders and add flares, fuck buying a new one.
Valve covers on the 04 Outback given some color while doing the gaskets.
They both looked like crap and were leaking because someone decided to use a Felpro gasket kit vs OEM.
Engine looks great! New OEM spark plug and valve/rocker cover gaskets.
Had to kick it up a notch with a fresh paint color and decals that were laying around.
Not too hard of a job but the space is limited and took me 2 hours. Save yourself some bucks and get the OEM kit that's for your Subaru plus a 6-pack of brew.
Used (only 60k) JDM BH5 KYB struts ready for install on the 04 Outback after a quick rattle can paint job over some rust.
