When Billy woke up from his coma, he wasn’t himself anymore. It’s only fair, considering everyone who found their sorry soul in contact with the upside down ‘weren’t themselves’ anymore. If that were all, maybe it would be easier to handle.
But that’s not all. No, Billy woke up with years— a decade— worth of buried bones crawling their way up to his surface. And maybe he would have been able to soldier on as before, if it weren’t for the changes. If it weren’t for his apparent detrimental need for ‘scenting’. If it weren’t for the fact that Harrington is the key to it all, and something about all of it (or is it just Harrington?) seems to pull the bones up faster.
