At the hospital... 645 pm friday dec 09:

For the first time since my 21 year old cousin AJ fell 15ft on his head while hiking on Sept 24, 2011 near Angeles Crest, I got to be alone with him. Last week he revealed to us on paper that he could finally SEE AGAIN by writing UCLA on paper because there was someone in the room wearing a UCLA sweater. What a miracle! My heart sank to my ass when I found out!! :) This evening I just got to be 100% with him and just BE. Gave him a light head massage and got him some chapstick. He can't quite talk yet but he mouths words now! And I could hear a faint faint whisper when he would try to say "a little bit" when he wanted some water. I'm so proud of how strong he has been and stayed with us icanteventellyou. I'm a ball of emotions right now because in early october, previous doctors claimed he had just days left to live. Our family said fuck that; his spirit said fuck that; and another doctor said fuck that. And here we are. Not a vegetable anymore. He is improving tremendously. I'm so fucking happy right now. God is REAL. God is good. My eyes are pouring the most joyful grateful tears as I'm writing this little entry. When witnessing how precious life TRULY is, especially that of a loved one, your blood, you start wondering why you even allow stupid everyday bullshit get to you. My life is perfect. You know why? Because I am alive, and I'm happy, healthy, blessed with true friends and a huge ass family that I CAN count on. Don't take your life for granted. The craziest shit will slap u in the fucking face. Life hands u lemons? Make a lemon martini....or lemon meringue pie :) Life is beautiful. For Christmas, my family gets to keep one of its mannyy members. I'm overwhelmed with how blessed we are. Happy Friday :) go tell someone you love them.
