One of my oldest homies in the world, Jonah sent me & Remy this text message after I thanked him for coming out to our last Method Makers event.
“You guys are very welcome. As friends we are there to support. As family we are there to lift up. And as artists we are there to flourish and be inspired by another’s creativity. Thank you for allowing us to do that. You two are doing important work. You are nurturing a part of the world that most look at as leisure. It’s a part of life that is necessary to our hearts. It’s work that speak to us thru many different mediums. It’s hard being an artist. Often times misunderstood and judged. You’re cultivating that and shining a light on something that without your work, would be trapped in the minds of those who aren’t willing to be vulnerable. Be proud of your work. Be proud of yourselves. As proud as we are of you.”
A high compliment and validation from one of the most creative musicians that I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
