The Mo’shan Phoenix’s

Thought I’d put together a little intro to my fav hockey team, the Mo’shan Phoenix’s! Remember to cheer for them this season and—say it with me— it’s not their fault Mo’shan burned down.

I’m thinking about making something for the other teams too but I don’t want it to be seen as an endorsement of m*r*th’s coaching on his team :/

OK it’s such an unimportant dynamic overall in yuli but to me marzu’s (mainly one sided) relationship to yanmei is sooo fascinating. idk i know they didn’t interact much but the few times they did got me thinking… we know marzu has a bad relationship with his adoptive family the Amakiir’s, who give off the vibe of being rly strict and controlling, and i wonder if he pushes against yanmei because she reminds him of his mother? his adopted mother who i think probably tried to control and mold him into the thought she had for him, believing her wants were marzu’s too without ever listening to him. idk it’s something that’s been lingering in the back of my mind for awhile.

although i also think he’s willing to put up with yanmei for the sake of coal which is so very interesting to me. in the last episode he’s actually worried about yanmei in a way- all for coal, which kinda speaks to how marzu has mentally latched onto him enough to put aside his negative feelings (mommy issues) towards yanmei lol. i wonder how things will go next ep with them all separated…
